Does anyone have any recommendations for a magazine subscription for 5yr old? Older sibling gets ecokids which they love so something similar for same relative to buy the younger dc. We tried okidok last year but didn’t get around to them (kept to use this year) so not that one thank you.

I used WHSmith codes and ordered a signed copy of a book for ds, and they have sent an unsigned copy, ahhhh

The 10% off code still works for WHSmiths.

Must have got my order in by the skin of my teeth!

Exactly that. I would never have bothered going anywhere near it if it wasn’t for this thread. A shame as they obviously do stock a good range of items, but the website sucks and is still stuck in the year 2005 😅

The Storytime Magazine is brilliant. Lots of short stories, different themes and a few puzzles at the end. DD (then 4) was given a subscription for Christmas last year, and she has requested it again for next year. There are often special offers on a year subscription (usually around £35), and there is also usually cashback on TCB. Comes addressed to her, once a month

I'm usually done by this time of year. Just not feeling inspired this year. I had covid last Xmas and was so pleased I had been organised but it's left me with multiple health issues. Then for the last six months my husband has been battling cancer.
Three children with very special needs are always a challenge to buy for and I really don't want to bring the thread down as I love the chat and often sit in the early hours with one of the children and it gives me something to look at.

I did a WH Smith's order last night with the codes. I have had the confirmation email but not the second "Your order has been accepted" one with the new prices on, which is unusual. I wonder if they aren't going to honour the codes....

I have an app, I think it's called Gift List, that I put everything into with prices so that I don't overdo it. Or that's the idea anyway 😳

I have just used the Whsmith code for 25% off stacked with 10%, just this minute but had the item in my cart and the code applied earlier today, but just checked it out now

@StopGoQuitStart one of mine loved the National Geographic Kids magazines at that age. I got it on a discounted subscription at the time.

@Scout2016 I had that happen a couple of weeks ago and it didn't work. Ended up contacting them to find out what was going on and they said there'd been a glitch and they wouldn't accept my order but I hadn't been charged. They HAD charged me and denied it. Took another couple of emails for them to confirm they had taken the money and would refund. I'm still chasing them for my money.

I'd contact them soon as it could be that they've not accepted the order. Mine was while it was only the 10% off code.
