@bizzey I got some lovely drawstring fabric bags from a charity group recommended on here a few threads back, they come in various sizes and designs so I got a set for each DC in S, M, L, XL.

They're like a pillow case with ribbon drawstring :)

DoucheCanoe · 13/10/2021 16:03

This is where I got mine - Herts and Crafts

Justyou · 13/10/2021 16:09

Can I please ask what’s the best gift list app?

MerylSqueak · 13/10/2021 16:17

I ordered two Spicery kits for my DC's (13and10) and I'm a bit surprised at how small they are. The text in the books is really small and the books don't stay open by themselves, which is going to be annoying if you're following a recipe. Is this normal for them? They're about. 10 cm high (although I haven't measured them - DD is home now!)

bizzey · 13/10/2021 16:19

Just ordered from that cherryz site .
Oddments that I don't have a shop to go to ..for silly stocking/novelty bits .
And ..sopherina25 code helps .

IggyAce · 13/10/2021 16:19

Exploding Kittens £10.95 from Amazon.

Unicorn colouring book £3. DD got the sloth one from the same brand and it’s fantastic quality.

IggyAce · 13/10/2021 16:22

@MerylSqueak yes they are a compact cook book, there should be some book marks included. My dh usually measures out the spices needed into ramekins first.

DearMrDilkington · 13/10/2021 16:27

Can anyone recommend a magnetic drawing board suitable for a 2 year old? Even better if it's on offer!

ljbmum76 · 13/10/2021 16:29

Just spotted this on Amazon looks like a decent deal, not quite the lowest it’s been on the 3 camels but almost.

LEGO Gear Bots £11.58

woodwaj · 13/10/2021 16:38

Sorry if its been mentioned but the grouch couch game is reduced to £6 on amazon. Its matching a reduction from Argos and delivery is about 4 weeks via amazon.

Ihopeyoudance · 13/10/2021 16:41

On the hot diamonds discount, I managed to stack three codes: 303030 for 30% off, jewels for free delivery and New10 for an extra 10% off!

@Picklesbaby our DD wanted binoculars for being lookout on a canal boat trip, we got her ones from Waterstones, you know in the vintage looking boxes they always have by the kids books or tills, they were good. Have also bought melissa and doug ones for a gift, depends on age you want them for.

Did I see someone looking for a play kitchen? just had an email from Robert Dyas, they have a Miele one for £99

Also had a email from topcash back offering 12% off £100+ spend on Oodies

I was in Primark in Bath yesterday and overhead someone asking about their snuddies, assistant said they are not getting them in until November

They do stay open in use, as you push it harder than if looking before giving!

I don't find the text that small, and my eyes are pretty poor these days!

@bizzey

Has anyone used the reusable bags for wrapping ? How many years do you get out of them(!!) "Must have ideas" website has some with discount . Need to properly check the sizes though. Our presents are not put under the tree till a huffing ,puffing slightly tippsy Santa puts them there at about 2am Christmas morning .

Then all the paper gets chucked .(recycled obvs)
I like the array /mess of paper on the floor ...but ....what a waste of money for things being wrapped up for less than 6 hours !

I use these to wrap. Really easy and can be re-used.

Rockhopper81 · 13/10/2021 17:31

My parents went to the Primark in Birmingham city centre today - they've come home with a sloth snuddie. No Snoopy. 😞

Mum asked if they were getting them in, they said they just don't know - they've had 2 deliveries of Winnie-the-Pooh over the last week and a half, so could well do, but no guarantees. Mum said the Winnie-the-Pooh one was thinner, it didn't appear to be double thickness - the sloth one is lovely to be fair, will definitely be toasty, and the M/L fits my size 22/24 frame without difficulty!

Will keep looking for the Snoopy one - I'm normally quite 'come ci come ca' about these sort of things, but I'm kind of determined with this one!

SpamIAm · 13/10/2021 17:33

Rex London do some great ones. I’ve used them a lot in the past. Or even some cotton tote bags from Typo, which then become part of the gift.

I also use brown paper lunch bags/ brown paper to keep the recycling easy.
