I’d recommend professional markers - the kind that are alcohol based. I found the best deals on Amazon and in tk maxx. You also need a special marker paper for them.

Mine asked for a light table and would trace complex characters out of a manga book… once they got a bit of confidence from tracing, they got a guide off Amazon how to draw characters. If yours is confident enough to start drawing, maybe something like this would be better

@Flackattack @NightOwl19 what pokemon bits are you after? I bought the tcg from Argos, Amazon and WHSmiths. Hamleys sometimes have stock but you have to keep checking. Argos might be a good bet for the figures.
