If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

Does anyone have an argos code they could PM me please? Like a previous poster I have a large spend and need something to take the edge off! (Around £80 but potentially more!) Many thanks.

Lurleene · 16/10/2021 11:40

I don't think I've seen this on the thread so sorry if it is repeat. For those on O2 the Priority app has £20 off a Virgin Days Out experience. I used mine for a boat trip for the inlaws but there's all kinds of deals on there including popcorn hampers and cocktails if you don't fancy booking an experience.

Newdad19 · 16/10/2021 11:42

Does anyone possibly have an Argos discount code?

BigGreen · 16/10/2021 11:47

Oooooh sale on at Wild Hearts Wonder on their lovely tiger sweatshirts Link.

RunningKatie · 16/10/2021 11:48

Primark Rotherham had the minnie mouse oodies but no others.
I've got some Lakeland codes if anyone wants them? I think they've extended the expiry date but will check!

Namechangesagain · 16/10/2021 11:51

@KinderWild

Decided we are going to move to rechargable batteries (having looked at how many of the kids toys need batteries).

8 AA/AAA battery charger with 4 AAA batteries for £10.18 if you're a prime member

This 8 AA/AAA battery usb charger
]] is £11.19 for prime member, there is a voucher for 9% off (tick the box under the price before adding to your basket), this makes it £10.18, and then under the promotions box you can add 4 AAA batteries to your basket for free -

Receive 1 PWOXS 4pcs AAA Rechargeable Batteries 800mAh free when you purchase 1 or more POWXS 8 slot AA AAA Battery Charger offered by POWXS-UK. Select "Add both to Basket" to automatically apply promo code JOIK3LZW.

Thanks for this. Amazing price. Just to add the compatible batteries are 50% off so got the charger, 4 free AAA batteries and 8 AA batteries for £13!!

@Whydidimarryhim

Re lottery tickets and visit London - I think you need to book the event you want to go to straight away. It doesn’t appear flexible?
The q&a says bookings until March 2022.

Seems to be a lot if people who have booked lottery days for their kids judging by the fbook comments.

I think they might be disappointed as you've to show the lotto ticket, it's over 18s only and a 4 year old just isn't going to pass.

Sealife, Legoland, Warwick castle, the London eye etc are all Merlin attractions and they are well used to people trying to play the various systems they have. They're not shy at saying "no sorry, that voucher isn't valid".

We used to joke that every time we used our Merlin passes there were people trying to scam a fiver off if the queue. Every single time they got turned away.

The specification for a "family ticket" is simply because there's a child included on the ticket. Buying 4 individual adult tickets is not the same as a family ticket.

coolpattern · 16/10/2021 12:01

We had a giant sloth from Aldi. Child tired of it quickly but it remained on the bed until DDog claimed it for herself and she now uses it to sleep on!

NoWordForFluffy · 16/10/2021 12:11

That's my reading of it, @NigelSlatersXmasTaters.

@BadgerFace, you have to book within 7 days of getting the code.

Invasionofthegutsnatchers · 16/10/2021 12:16

Bodum set in pink is £28 on their website, is this a good price or could it drop lower?

BadgerFace · 16/10/2021 12:17

@NoWordForFluffy Agreed, you have to book within 7 days, I had read the poster as asking if you had to visit straight away but might have misinterpreted the question.

The Adult Sealife ticket I booked was £27 so I save the price of my ticket and pay for the kids but I can see how there might be issues with other attractions where the entry price per adult is less than £25.

torthecatlady · 16/10/2021 12:20

@Unihorn

Also Primark near me (South Wales) had an abundance of Minecraft "snuddles" but I didn't notice any others. I wasn't particularly looking for them though to be fair!
Was the the Cardiff or Cwmbran Primark by any chance? Looking for the minecraft one for DS.
Beakerandbungle · 16/10/2021 12:22

Thanks @Vickles20

NigelSlatersXmasTaters · 16/10/2021 12:22

Paying for the kids and getting an adult ticket for £2 will be fine and is the intention of the promotion.

Buying extra lottery tickets and using different emails and getting discounts on adult tickets then having children present them on entry won't be ok Grin

Whydidimarryhim · 16/10/2021 12:25

Thanks badger face.

Nymerialuna · 16/10/2021 12:35

@Alwaysroomforcake I use Aliexpress quite a lot. Delivery can be a bit long and items aren't always boxed up and when boxed, the boxes are sometimes a bit bashed but I personally have never had a problem with the actual items. My orders are generally low value so never been hit with customs charges.

If order multiple of items with free delivery, you sometimes have to order them one at time as they sometimes add delivery if there are more than one.

Teabird · 16/10/2021 12:42

If anyone has an Argos discount code they aren't going to use, I would be very grateful for it. I've got 4 Switch games in my basket and it's looking a bit £££! Thank you xx

Puffalicious · 16/10/2021 13:02

Thanks for all the responses to high Street versus online. It is a dilemma, but I think I'll take it each item at a time: if it's something I've already seen I'll get it elsewhere, but if it's something I wouldn't have known about I'll buy it there and swallow the higher price as I do want the high street to remain as we all need a browse.

5Minions2CallMyOwn · 16/10/2021 13:06

@sorryiasked

Thank you to whoever mentioned the free postage on character.com (several pages back!). Discount code is SHIP4FREE valid this weekend only. I wanted a sale item reduced from £11 to £6 and wouldn't have paid £4.95 postage!
Thanks for this! Just ordered some reduced pjs for DS and free postage was great Smile
bizzey · 16/10/2021 13:07

Thank you to pp who mentioned Cherryz.
Parcel arrived today ,ordered Monday or Tuesday I think.
And I now have free delivery on my next 3 orders .

Ourlady · 16/10/2021 13:19

@AnotherOne4

Who-ever was asking about 3D printers (think it was a few threads back) I took the plunge and ordered one last night Shock Gonna spend the next few weeks setting it up and playing with it before I gift it on.
That was me @AnotherOne4. Which one did you go for? I'm still deliberating whether to get a higher spec for a bit more money or just the basic one.
WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks · 16/10/2021 13:39

For any comedy fans Daisy May Cooper's autobiography is available for pre-order from Amazon and WHSmith for £10 (RRP is £20).

It's released at the end of this month

EveLe · 16/10/2021 13:40

@torthecatlady I went to the Cardiff Primark Thursday afternoon, and the only snuddles they had were Minnie, Winnie, Minion and Marvel. Sales assistant said they sold out of Minecraft ones as soon as they came in and she didn't think they were expecting anymore.
