If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

@0ttoline Giant Mickey Mouse is played with frequently & sleeps at the foot of the bed every night. Giant teddy bear was a novelty for Christmas day & never looked at again🤷🏼‍♀️
Disney store have the giant stuffies half price at the minute £25. Ours is a few years old now & still looks great!

Autumnleaves4 · 15/10/2021 13:25

@Haudyourwheesht thank you, really frustratingly I didn’t get sent a code just an email saying if I signed up for premier (which I already am) I could get 25% off. I presumed the discount would be automatically be added to my account at check out but it wasn’t so I didn’t buy anything. Checked when my premier it runs out and its not until December so no idea what the problem was. Think I will email them.

Ruralretreating · 15/10/2021 13:32

@ottoline my DD(1) had a large dinosaur from Dunhelm that she plays with and cuddles regularly. We’ve bought a large giraffe from there this year. DM collected it and said it’s lovely. Both were £10-£12 so pretty reasonable

0ttoline · 15/10/2021 13:32

Tabbycat thank you! I feel like it will be in with a good chance of being played with if I can choose the right one Confused

0ttoline · 15/10/2021 13:34

Rural ooh that is a good price, I will have a look at Dunelm. Thanks!

PinkDaydreams · 15/10/2021 13:35

Can anyone point me in the direction of the wooden toys on sale at Asda please? I think it was early in this thread or late last one. I can't seem to find any Confused the George site hasn't got any toys and the Asda app doesn't come up with much.

psuedocream3 · 15/10/2021 13:39

@0ttoline my youngest has a giant duck from Sarah and duck whic she loves, it's really soft so it gets used alot by the kids when laying on the floor for watching tv. My youngest also has a giant very hungry caterpillar pillow pal, the other kids loved it so much as it's so soft, they all got one for Christmas a few years back, they are all very much loved and used daily as a cushion/pillow. I generally don't like soft toys, let alone giant ones but these ones were well worth the money.

TuftyMarmoset · 15/10/2021 13:39

@0ttoline someone at work bought their DC a big giraffe, I think the Melissa & Doug one, and it has been so well-loved that the issue is that it doesn’t fit in the washing machine. Something to bear in mind?

Ruralretreating · 15/10/2021 13:48

I thought they were good value @ottoline they aren’t really enormous but the dinosaur is still bigger than DD(1)

ZimZamZoom · 15/10/2021 13:51

@0ttoline

Can anyone who has bought giant soft toys in previous years recommend any types that have gone down well with their kids? Or conversely if they have not been loved?
My little boy has the large lion from Ikea. He sits at the end of the bed to guard from monsters :)
CeeceeBloomingdale · 15/10/2021 13:54

@RevolvingPivot

I've not had a single bargain yet.

Can I ask do people order things on here just because they are reduced or on offer or do you only order things you wanted / were on your list?

I don’t have a list and obviously I don’t buy things I don’t want! I just buy gifts as and when I see something the recipient would like. Sometimes I buy something for myself I see on here. I find it’s much cheaper and easier to shop my way, I never find discounts if I’m looking for something specific.
noscoobydoodle · 15/10/2021 14:02

@0ttoline we have giant toys from hamleys-.a giant panda and a giant link narwhal- both very much loved and weren't expensive for such big teddies!

Ck91 · 15/10/2021 14:02

@PinkDaydreams I’m not sure about the Asda ones but the Aldi wooden toys go online this sunday.

Raindancer411 · 15/10/2021 14:03

@LostMyRubySlippers What's the offer as I couldn't see it? I could do a few sets of these for family

1stTimeMama · 15/10/2021 14:12

@mummyof2boys30 it's www.game.co.uk/en/m/deals/offer-14/

Sorry, not sure how to.so.the fancy links! I wasn't aware you could even get the cartridges, we've always had the codes @psuedocream3, does it make a difference? I'm presuming mainly for resale thinking about it?

Tereseta · 15/10/2021 14:15

@Elpheba

The photobox codes stack too- So luvmagnets and extra10 meant I got three sets for £9.99 delivered!
Thanks! Just ordered three for 9.99, great for grandparents Smile
psuedocream3 · 15/10/2021 14:19

@1stTimeMama It might do for some people, I've seen alot of people moaning about codes but not entirely sure why. Maybe you cant share the game code like you can a cartridge so maybe not ideal if you have more than one child with a device if they want to share games, and I think you need space to save the game to the device, I'm not sure if that requires a memory card. I've only bought cartridges for my kids but they wont get their switches until Christmas.

sittingonacornflake · 15/10/2021 14:22

Thanks all for the Fiorelli code.

I've ordered the nautical waves in large but am slightly concerned it might be too big.

I then ventured over to Mia tui and ordered a slightly smaller tan leather travel backpack with laptop and insulated sections. Code MAG gave 25% off and its free delivery over £25.

I will return one and you do sadly have to pay for returns to Mia Tui but I have a feeling I might like that one more.

Unihorn · 15/10/2021 14:24

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile

This looks like a good stocking stuffer for hard to buy tweens. Maclaren remote control car with working lights in gold. Voucher takes it down to £7.50. CMJ RC Cars™ McLaren 675LT Officially Licensed Remote Control Car 1:24 Scale Working Lights 2.4Ghz Gold ]] Car
Just FYI the reviews on this aren't great and it needs 5 AA batteries. I was about to buy it but decided against it in the end!
Unihorn · 15/10/2021 14:25

Also Primark near me (South Wales) had an abundance of Minecraft "snuddles" but I didn't notice any others. I wasn't particularly looking for them though to be fair!

TheGriffle · 15/10/2021 14:26

My dd has a giant llama/alpaca from I think asda a couple of years ago that is very loved. It’s huge, my 4 year old can lay out on it it’s that big.

Christmasmcchristmasface · 15/10/2021 14:38
@Christmasmcchristmasface no probs do you want one of each or just either?
@Namechangesagain I’ll have a look for you.
Won’t be there until about 4ish I reckon.
One of each if it’s at all possible 😀 you are an absolute superstar for looking ⭐️🌟

LostMyRubySlippers · 15/10/2021 14:44
@LostMyRubySlippers What's the offer as I couldn't see it? I could do a few sets of these for family
The magnets are £3 per set using code LUVMAGNETS
Also pp has pointed out that code EXTRA10 brings the price down even further- I missed this one!!

CamdenLurker · 15/10/2021 14:44

I've always asked my dc to write a list with five things on it, as they've got older I've added a rule that they must cost £50 or less each, they never ever put 5x £50 gifts on the list, usually one expensive item and a few bits that are between £5 and £20 each.

This year dd1 - 16, has on her list some perfume, a fancy hair product, Shacket from Zara, punch needle kit and a British blue shorthair cat ( she won't be getting this, it's a family joke) I use these threads to find discount codes and will also buy stocking fillers and little extras for the surprise element. I think the only impulse buy I've made so far is the Joe & Sephs caramel sauce.
