I do the same as Tufty, I look out for what’s on my list but also get inspiration for other gifts for those I don’t have an idea for yet. It is such a great resource for that, and for present ideas for me too (Fiorelli bag looking at you!)
I also use these threads to fill up my kids party present box, whenever deals on things like craft sets or Lego sets are posted that are the right type and price I buy them then we gift to my kids friend’s whenever they go to birthday parties etc.

@RevolvingPivot I don't write a list I use this thread and a couple of bargain pages on Facebook for inspiration. My older kids are 16 and 19 so don't ask for a lot. And my dd3 she just has what she's bought she's a bit little to ask for stuff yet.

For example I'll always spend the same amount (ish) on dh but the other day I got a couple of reduced bits from fossil after seeing they had reductions on here so he'll get a lot more for his money.

DD doesn't benefit so much as I have a list and shop around myself for the bargains - sharing as I go!

I got me 2 F bags that will be presents from family so it passes the saving onto them too as they never know what to buy/ I don't know what to suggest!

The biggest help has been teacher gifts for the teacher and ta's and I've got them lovely stationary useful things rather than things they'll re gift like mugs and candles!

Everyone on here is so genuine and lovely too which is the icing on the Christmas cake!

I don't get my kids to write lists because I don't want them picking some crap Roblox toys for £40 that never get played with (as that's what happens when Granny takes them to Smyths for their birthday). This thread has given me some good deals on lego sets and games, also I just bought a £9 lava lamp so thanks for that tip.

I don’t have a list of items either, I have a long list of people I need to buy for and these threads are great for providing inspiration. I bought a Fiorelli bag because I saw one in particular and thought it would be perfect for someone on my list. I wouldn’t use one myself but I have a £30 budget for this person and I know that they’ll love it. It’s a bit rude to call them ‘nan bags’ because plenty of people on here do like them.

RevolvingPivot I struggle to think of what to get for people so I mostly use it for inspiration, and as a bonus when it's suggested on here it's generally on offer.

The only time I've bought things simply because they're cheap is a couple of things each year for the local salvation army childrens presents collection but I will only get a maximum of two.

I saw Luna Skye playmobil world mentioned on here and then stumbled across this bundle they’ve got on clearance. I’m not a massive fan of the boy/girl aspect but looks like a lot of playmobil for £34. Have ordered one to split between stockings/party gift box/random presents.

thanks for posting - just ordered both my mum and my MIL the navy ones in large which were only £4 each!? Some reviews say large is too big but thought worth a punt at that price.

Just wanted to say a massive thanks to everyone posting so far. I've been lurking until now and never been on these threads before but it has been a brilliant help in getting organised/great value for Christmas.

@RevolvingPivot I only buy what's on my list unless something comes up as a good filler present for the kids or stockings etc. I've resisted the wine, a F bags for example but agree the hype stuff was a massive bargain but middle Psuedo needs clothes so it was needed.
