I’m looking for some- ideally long rolls, fairly traditional (not cartoonish). Any recommendations? I had some in my JL basket but sadly they all sold out before I could check out.

Primark! Brown paper with mini green trees. Usually I wrap in brown paper but these rolls looked just the part.

BasiliskStare · 07/10/2021 01:38

Waitrose had some lovely navy blue with stars thing last year which I bought because it was quite Christmassy but could be used for birthdays etc. 2m rolls. Also similar - to @Dutchesss they ( Waitrose ) had brown paper with Christmas trees on . I know Waitrose & JL are the same thing but may be worth a look ? I will never get over the Tesco glittery reindeer paper - very pretty but I was hoovering it up for the best part of a year. Grin

B&M and Matalan have some gorgeous tonal sets. Excellent quality.

I went into my local TK Maxx and they some lovely wrapping paper. Very long rolls and I think £5.99 for 10m but they are super long so more paper. Not sure if they are on the website but popping in if you have a TK near you. The paper is thick and has lines on the back too. I was really pleased with them (pink for my DD's santa presents)

I am increasingly using reusable fabric gift bags for Christmas presents. We have got quite a few for free from when we've received wrapped gifts via Amazon but you can buy a big variety on e.g. etsy.

M&S had 14m rolls of plastic free paper for £6

Jumpingintochristmas · 07/10/2021 10:41

WH Smith have some lovely recyclable stuff but not the cheapest. I lucked out and got last years range for 25p a roll in store a few weeks ago!

Christmas1988 · 07/10/2021 13:22

Not to everybody’s taste but M&S have Percy pig wrap in store, thought it would be rather fun for the children.

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 07/10/2021 13:26

I got some from primark last week, one set is brown with a repeat of a car with Christmas tree tied on. And the other is a lovely green with gingerbread men.

i always think paperchase have a nice selection

Thesearmsofmine · 07/10/2021 18:41

I was in Wilkinson’s today and they were starting to put the Christmas bits out. I spied some nice traditional looking paper on their trolley.

Gladioli23 · 07/10/2021 18:47

I have got on well with Aldi and Lidl paper in the past. Always have plastic free available and it usually has a nice grid on the back for cutting out. It won't turn up till at least November though!

Cherryrainbow · 07/10/2021 21:18

The primark wrapping papers - how many metres are they? Many thanks x

BasiliskStare · 07/10/2021 21:25

@Xmasfairy86 - you feel my pain, & I yours - I honestly think I was finding glittery bits until the next Christmas. It was pretty at the time of wrapping though - Grin

Next has a lovely navy/red set which is quite nostalgic and a brown/green which is very woodland. B&M also have a really nice woodland range

Ilovecaviar · 08/10/2021 09:25

Next is also 3 4 2 on the sets

17caterpillars1mouse · 08/10/2021 09:37

Tk maxx have a lovely selection in store at the moment, but designs will obviously be store dependent but lovely long, quality paper in a variety of designs. They definitely had some traditional
