If you’re posting anything specifically for Reastie please do @reastie or She may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

I'm rubbish at short links hopefully someone can help?

Just going through some MdDonalds monopoly stickers and thought I'd offer these here.

15% off a Beauty Box at glossy Oxford
20% off urbanears.com

I also have an online win (not really Xmas gift material, but even so)

Free month subscription at Next Up Comedy. The website says they have upgraded it to offer 3 months for 99p for winners. It's usually £9.99 a month.

Let me know if anyone would like the codes before I throw them away.

The burgers and icecreams I'm keeping, sorry 🤫

DumplingsAndStew · 02/10/2021 14:23

The beauty box is at glossybox sorry autocorrect

NeedMoreTea · 02/10/2021 14:24

@NaturalBlondeYeahRight
I bought this unicorn fake oodie last year for a 4 year old. It's double lined but might be a bit too pricy if you've got to buy 3.

@Ewock we got a barbie food bundle (not actually barbie) from Amazon for £15ish. DD also loves mini brands for her barbies, they are about £7 each and I have got her the advent calendar for this year but far from a bargain at £30 Xmas Blush

oatmilkisntsobad · 02/10/2021 14:50

Someone way back up thread posting about the the lovely candles that have jewellery hidden in them. Imperial Candles - sorry no link. I've just bought a few with a 20% discount using code SPOOKY

Jedstre · 02/10/2021 15:05

@HermannlovesPauline

Does anyone have any recommendations on a water flosser? Are they any good?
Last year I got a good deal on Black Friday if you can bear to wait.
Ewock · 02/10/2021 15:15

Thank you so much for all the ideas. Hadn't thought about Shopkins and had never heard of mini brands. I think I may have more fun with this than she will Grin

onedayatatime73 · 02/10/2021 15:16

I'm looking for two recommendations

My sister and I would like to take my mum for a posh tea (eg posh tea at the Ritz). Do these things come up on Groupon or similar?

And every year I give my daughters and hair and bath box. (Same battered festive "suitcases" I bought from TK Max years ago. Every year fill it with hair and bath things. Funny how it's gone from Mr Matey to bath bombs to now bath oil (for the eldest). Anyway. Try to fill it each year with bargains (thank you for the 24 face mask link- that will be spilt between the two) but also interesting things that they might not have seen. So any interesting sites please send my way. I did order from the poster who recommended the ribbons and bows. They arrived today and beautiful quality. Anything similar would be great. Particularly hair brushes. Face wash. And hair turbans. I buy these every year and they're brilliant. Always go for the cheap ones as I convince myself I can't afford the instant hair dry version. Maybe I'll force myself this year!

Oh he IS amazing. I've just had notification that mine is ready to collect and I'm so tempted to dash out for him rather than wait until Monday when I planed to!

I have a bit of a bargain to share perhaps not for gifting more for yourself. Primark have started to sell some nicer items. I bought a cotton and cashmere (90/10 mix) jumper yesterday for £19. It looks very good. Will see how it lasts but for the price I'm impressed they had some nicer quality women's shirts all 100% cotton and thick. I wouldn't normally look for this kind of stuff in there but worth keeping an eye out.

I was in the metrocentre for those in the north east and they had the fake oodies in the pizza and marvel designs that I saw.

MeredithGreyishblue · 02/10/2021 15:36

Thank you @DumplingsAndStew Just got the £3 hardcover!

onedayatatime73 · 02/10/2021 15:38

I'm so jealous. I don't live anywhere near a dunelm so can't C&c. DP's gran used to buy him something Nutcracker themed each year and this is the first year she won't be with us. Can't believe you've all put this in my head because now I HAVE to surprise him with one!

chillimice · 02/10/2021 15:40

Ooh have a look on aliexpress - I just ordered a bunch of these mini foods to make a home made mini brand advent calendar.

Any doll food 1/6 size seems to be good for our generation sized dolls, but the 1/12 might be better for barbies?

dizzygirl1 · 02/10/2021 15:45

Ooh any Dr Martins bargains? Dd14 has decided she likes the smooth black boots £149.... tried them on today so know they fit! But need an offer really

RainbowPhilosophy · 02/10/2021 15:52

@Peabody25

RainbowPhilosphy what about a photo album, afternoon tea voucher, national trust membership, a hamper with goodies in themed to their interests, an overnight stay somewhere, gloves hat scarf type thing, magazine subscription?
@Givealittlebit I was the one who posted about the Aldi hampers being available Grin Unfortunately due to dietary requirements and fussiness of various recipients they wouldn't work for me.

@Peabody25 thanks for the suggestions. Sadly I've done them before, or in the case of gloves/hat/scarf already bought for this year! It's hard to buy three times a year (birthdays, Mothers/Fathers Day and Christmas) for people who don't want or really need anything isn't it. I appreciate the help.

I placed an order yesterday with Philip Jones jewellery as recommended by a PP and it arrived this morning! It all looks good and came with little presentation bags which will look nice for gifts. They also sent a code for 50% off my next order.

CamdenLurker · 02/10/2021 15:54
@CamdenLurker those Turtledoves items are lovely. Can I ask what you paid if you don’t mind? I’m thinking of getting some for gifts but trying to work out the cheapest way! Mainly the neck warmer and wrist warmers.
The total Was £51, £19 for the neckwarmer, £32 for the beanie and the wrist warmers were free.

I chose the colour of the hat and the rest was chosen for me, I did leave a message asking for something that compliments the colour way, I think they chose really well, I'm very happy 😊

AnotherOne4 · 02/10/2021 15:57

@NoWordForFluffy omg! Stop it! Haha the nutcracker is soooo good! (it was me who originally posted about it) I want to go get another one.

Everyone - stop blooming well buying them or there will be none left! Haha!

Well done though, he looks fabulous!

hobbitharry · 02/10/2021 16:04

I presumed ( perhaps wrongly ) it was from a console game - it looked like a fab magazine with lots to do in it

Givealittlebit · 02/10/2021 16:04

@RainbowPhilosophy can see how easy I find it to keep up 😂

RainbowPhilosophy · 02/10/2021 16:08

Boots have 50% off selected A Little Something products which you can then use MAQM30 to get 10% off when spending over £30 too. There's a set of 6 bath bombs for £6 (could be split, or looks lovely as they're all wrapped in pretty paper) and a set of 12 mini hand creams (again could be split, but I've ordered one each for my mum and MIL). I've added some example pictures but there's more.

I do similar for my two daughters each year, hear before last I picked up large make up bags with their initials on from Primark and filled them all sorts of beauty stuff.

I mention it quite a bit but I find TK MAXX the best place to pick bits up that you don't see in most shops, so far I have Tony Moly face masks, skinny dip tweezers, Paw Paw 2 in 1 lip scrub and balm, Wet brushes are really good and coke in lots of snazzy colours and patterns - they re £3.99 in TK MAXX - £12.99 in boots.

I've also picked up a couple of hair masks from Superdrug, they come with a reusable shower cap, ones a pineapple and the other a unicorn.

RainbowPhilosophy · 02/10/2021 16:13

@CamdenLurker "coke in lots of snazzy colours and patterns" Grin New thread title?

CamdenLurker · 02/10/2021 16:13

My typos are appalling- sorry Blush

Waveafterwaveslowlydrifting · 02/10/2021 16:23

I was in Primark today with DD and got her some Stranger Things leggings and also ST soft fleece pyjama set. £6.50 and £11 respectively so much cheaper than online places. We got the last 2XS so there might be sets lurking in other stores.

Gorgeous lambswool jumpers for £20 in tkmaxx too.

I got a mini Seasalt jute bag, unused, in a charity shop for £1.99 and remembered they were popular on these threads a couple of years ago. Great to use as a gift bag.

Wet but successful shopping trip ☔
