If you’re posting anything specifically for Reastie please do @reastie or She may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

I'm rubbish at short links hopefully someone can help?

@lifelongfrugaleer

I’m going to go against the grain here and say don’t get teacher presents, especially if money is to G to too. I never did and obv it’s personal choice. A couple of teachers I’ve wanted to thank Ive emailed the head for their performance review.
As a secondary teacher I would really appreciate an email or card if you thought I deserved thanking. I know presents in secondary schools aren’t such a thing.

Some of the primary presents seem to have got out of hand. Personal messages are always very welcome and can be used for performance management or just because they make you feel valued. If anyone is on a tight budget a homemade card and thoughtful message would be perfect. We are paid for our jobs and I hate to think of families that are struggling somehow feeling obligated to buy gifts.

@psuedocream3

Thank you for the perfume/mask links.
I’ve been trying to buy 3 different ones for teen nieces, but everytime I added something, a different item went out of stock! Then it would come into stock again, then go out of stock.again.

But I think I’ve managed to get some! (Will keep trying with the masks)

@ItsAllBlahBlahBlah

I guess I could ask but seems abit wierd to bring up to me but maybe I'm overthinking it
Do they have a website where they show who staff are ?
recklessgran · 01/10/2021 23:09

Good grief! Just back from a week in Crete and I've missed 2 whole threads!
Anyway please can your collective minds help me out with this one?
I'm looking for "mini me" pyjamas - ladies size 12 and girls 5-6. There are lots about but I would like them to be NOT Christmas themed, not pink and preferably long sleeved [and bargainous of course]. I don't know why but I'm struggling to find the right thing. Many thanks in advance.

Martinisarebetterdirty · 01/10/2021 23:25

Cyberjammies have some matching pjs in the sale.

Notlongnow1 · 01/10/2021 23:28

@recklassgran cyberjammies do some gorgeous sets but even in the sale aren't cheap! 10% off with NEWCYBER if they are within budget

Notlongnow1 · 01/10/2021 23:29

Or even @recklessgran! Crossposted too I see!

Summerbreeze4 · 02/10/2021 00:53

@SweetPeaPods thank you, found it now.

IDontDrinkTea · 02/10/2021 05:51

Sorry, can’t do clever clicky links

WhereTheresAHill · 02/10/2021 06:13

@AnotherOne4 it’s in stock near me, if you want to PM me with your location on the off chance it’s anywhere near any my family/friends then I could try and get it to you.

Room4onemore · 02/10/2021 06:14

Popped into primark yesterday and they are randomly getting Christmas things, managed to grab my daughter a Minnie Mouse snoodie, and baby Christmas joggers and jumper set and my 11 year old a red reindeer Christmas jumper, no jumpers in the girls section though so I need to keep my eyes open lol. They had a couple of pairs of Christmas pjs in the young boys sections as well

ChristmasLightsAndSparkles · 02/10/2021 06:19

@Kranz78 - there are some (new) Gridits on ebay at fairly good prices

recklessgran · 02/10/2021 06:58

Oooh thanks for the suggestions so far all - those Cyberjammies are utterly gorgeous aren't they? Unfortunately way over budget for this present so I'm going to have to think hard about this. The Matalan ones are nice but I'd prefer long sleeves really, particularly for the winter. I got some really nice ones from Peacocks surprisingly a couple of years ago but they don't seem to have any on their website now.

DollyPartBaked · 02/10/2021 07:19

Don't know if this has been mentioned previous but H&M are doing beauty advents for £25

Good for teenagers perhaps?

RainbowPhilosophy · 02/10/2021 07:40

Can I pick your collective brains please? Any gift ideas for parents/in laws all in their early to mid 70s and an uncle in his late 60s? I feel like I've either bought it before or they've got it or they won't use it, iyswim! Thanks MN hive mind Grin

Katinkak8 · 02/10/2021 07:55

@recklessgran I'm sure that Matalan have some long sleeved ones too in the women's section and the matching mini me ones. I think the design was called woodland.

Apologies for the long link. These are the mini ones. The adult ones are £16.

Restlessinthenorth · 02/10/2021 07:58

@psuedocream3 thanks so much for the perfume sets tip off. Got some great gifts for my tween there that really bulk out the pile without breaking the bank! Don't know how you find them, but please share any other bits like this that you find!

Bezzi · 02/10/2021 07:58

Thank you @PoirotAndHisMoustache just bought a nutcracker runner! So excited to Christmas the house!
@AnotherOne4 thanks for posting the idea originally and sorry you can't get one. Like pp said if you want to say what area you are in I have quite a far reaching commute on the off chance I might pass nearby?

Homerenonovice · 02/10/2021 08:02

Does anyone have any recommendations for coffee pod advent calendars? Looking for one for my DH who has a Nespresso. Thank you!

endlesscraziness · 02/10/2021 08:04

@psuedocream3 thank you for the perfumes, perfect for my friends triplet girls!

ItsAllBlahBlahBlah · 02/10/2021 08:05

@anotherone4 I have those runners in stock near me. The store is very close to my house. I am also happy to pick up and post or drop by on the off chance you are near. Let me know if I can help.

winewolfhowls · 02/10/2021 08:06
