@AnotherOne4, thank you for introducing us to something that sounded so wrong in the thread title. Also loved the review you shared:
‘ Not only is it decorative, but also quite heavy. If you had intruders you could take them down with this also. Multipurpose’

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

Does anyone know anything about go pros? Any really afford the official one do wonders if there was any recommendations for a cheaper version suitable for soon to be 11 year old? Thanks!

daisyboo1 · 27/09/2021 10:04

On one of the earliest threads someone was talking about boot dryers. Does anyone have any recommendations of a good/safe one please? Do they really work? Think it will be ideal for DS but want to make sure I get one that's worthwhile.

MOONPIG - free standard card just pay 85p postage code - MPKAJHFHDUEBAJWGFH
Thanks @psuedocream3 I've just used this :)
daisyboo1 · 27/09/2021 10:09

@Mumto3thatsme we had an Apeman one for when my son was about that age abnd it was brilliant. Certainly enough for what he needed. My partner ended up getting one too. I wouldn't know which version it was, and of course they get constantly updaded, but it may be a good place to start looking.

CamdenLurker · 27/09/2021 10:19

@ClosedAuraOpenMind

free wrist warmers at Turtle Doves when you spend £25 with code FREE -WW-SEPT
Has anyone managed to get this code to work?

I'm try but it just says code invalid.

RevolvingPivot · 27/09/2021 10:21

@Sisisimone

Apple, Spotify and Prime are all £15 a month for family subscription RevolvingPivot so not sure how you'd get around it. Do they all usually want to play music at the same time? 3 of use it here to play very different styles of music but usually we don't all want to listen at the same time so just pay the normal subscription
Hi I think I pay £10 a month for the music. So is that an extra £5 or an extra £15 if they want to listen at the same time? Thing is they like the same music but want it in in their own rooms 😔😔
sittingonacornflake · 27/09/2021 10:24

@CamdenLurker no but I messaged them via Facebook and they were really helpful. They emailed me an invoice which had the free wrist warmers on so I made my order that way.

DoucheCanoe · 27/09/2021 10:25

Iceland have big tins (not tubs!) of Quality Street for £7 in-store.

I'd hold off for Black Friday if buying a dot as it usually matches prime day. I got ours in July for £21.

WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks · 27/09/2021 10:36

Amazon have the 125g Wild Strawberry Candy Kittens (Vegan gourmet sweets) for £1.50 today only
(plus another 35% off if you do Subscribe and Save...although I've never done this so not sure how it works)

I seem to remember Candy Kittens were popular last year when the 54g pack was on offer for £1 but this is a bigger pack for £1.50.

Bought a couple for my older teens/early 20s DC's stockings as they love them

Carrie76 · 27/09/2021 10:38

@Changingagain what I tend to do when I’m unsure if things will drop in price is buy it now and keep the receipt. If the price drops in the next 28 days buy it again and return the first one for a full refund. Bit of a faff but it means you don’t miss out

Sisisimone · 27/09/2021 10:39

RevolvingPivot, it would be an extra £5. I pay £7.99 for Prime music unlimited. If I wanted family membership I'd have to pay £14.99. If you can afford to pay in a lump sum you can get an annual family subscription for £149 which would mean it's only an extra £2 a month for you

PinkDaydreams · 27/09/2021 10:47

Has anyone got a student code for New Balance please? My NHS 20% off won't work for some strange reason sadly. Thank you in advance!

clpsmum · 27/09/2021 10:51

Anyone know where I can get my hands on a ps5? Feels like last Christmas all over again Confused

clpsmum · 27/09/2021 10:52

psuedocream3 · 27/09/2021 11:12

@clpsmum I'm after one for hubby, but I expect they will be harder to buy than last year. I have stockinformer alerts on, it sounds an alarm when stock drops in any of the shops but stock goes within minutes. I was lucky enough to get an xbox one x last year this way.

psuedocream3 · 27/09/2021 11:16

Kiddizoom action

I noticed this VTech one when I was browsing the toys at Aldi the other day. It’s much cheaper than a real GoPro so might be a good starting point at £44.99? Same price at Amazon. My husband has a Go Pro but I don’t know much about them.

UrbanMage · 27/09/2021 11:52

Not Christmassy, but does anyone know of where I can get a nice autumnal wreath without it costing £££. I’ve looked at Etsy but a lot of them have mixed reviews?

It’s a gift from me to me for getting through a tough Mock Ofsted

selina25 · 27/09/2021 11:59

For anyone looking for a ps5, i got one last Christmas from BT, not somewhere I would have thought to look. Might be worth checking

Boots have this pack for £5, supposedly worth £23. It does state that the voucher has expired but you could remove that. Might be ok for a stocking filler.
