@AnotherOne4, thank you for introducing us to something that sounded so wrong in the thread title. Also loved the review you shared:
‘ Not only is it decorative, but also quite heavy. If you had intruders you could take them down with this also. Multipurpose’

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

@Room4onemore and @THATmamaofMANY I managed to get a PS5 in May using Stock Informer
I signed up for the alerts on telegram as they seem to be the quickest way of being notified and managed to get one within a week.

PinkJam · 27/09/2021 07:04

@NeedMoreTea Thanks for the recommendation. I am going to a Smyths store next week so will buy it then.

thelegohooverer · 27/09/2021 07:28

@RunningKatie I have a penguin lover too! There are often huge soft toys on offer a little closer to Christmas so I’d hold on a little bit.

In the meantime check out the penguin patrol Lots of stocking fillers in the under £5 section.

If you’re interested in adopting a penguin, I highly recommend this site. It’s not very slick but the guy who does it is very genuine and committed to penguin conservation. There’s no soft toy or glossy magazine but every few weeks you get an email and photo about your penguin. We’ve had a subscription for years. The children’s emails are lovely and chatty and full of facts.

We’ve adopted other animals for dd but they’ve been disappointing by comparison.

@TakeMeToYourLiar

sale at the Norse Nook

This is the clearance section, 30% is taken off of these prices at checkout so some massive bargains

Thanks for this! Lovely duns floral tops for under £10! My weakness!
WreckTangled · 27/09/2021 07:54

Sorry if this has been mentioned already. Groupon have the adidas gift card £50 for £35 back and you can use a discount code with it too. I used my nhs one and got £78 worth of things for £35.

ClosedAuraOpenMind · 27/09/2021 09:00

free wrist warmers at Turtle Doves when you spend £25 with code FREE -WW-SEPT

DinosaurOfFire · 27/09/2021 09:02

@ClosedAuraOpenMind I ordered from them recently for the first time and was very impressed with their customer service, delivery was quick as well. I would definitely recommend them.

RevolvingPivot · 27/09/2021 09:11

S'mores and Dipping Chocolate Sets are in B&M. Got one each for my kids as they cannot share.

The alexa echo dot is down to £25 today, it has been cheaper but not recently.

Sisisimone · 27/09/2021 09:14

Thanks for the Debenhams tip. Another one here who bought the festive town bedding. Got some nice underwear 30% off for dd as well and £1 next day delivery is brilliant

Thanks thelegohooverer for the information about the penguin adoption. Dd was just saying yesterday she'd love adopt an animal as a present and that sounds ideal

RevolvingPivot · 27/09/2021 09:15

@JanuaryEl5ieBill

Sorry to derail.

We have 3 Alexas. Dds like to listen to music in their room.

I can't believe it's £15 a month to have them both playing at the same time. That's for up to 5 at once. I wish there was an option for just two.

I can't pay that I've got way too many outgoings.

Anyone know if there is a way around it?

CamdenLurker · 27/09/2021 09:18

Lots of Halloween haunted house tins in M&S Aberystwyth yesterday, also Home Bargains Aber had the Galaxy hot chocolate station for £4.99, picked one up for dd1.

Check your M&S Sparks card for freebies, I got a free Apothecary sleep candle and a free hand cream - again picked both up in Aber I'm going to give both as a nice gift with a few other bits added.

£10 off a £50 spend or £20 off a £100 spend at The Entertainer with code SAVEMORE

RevolvingPivot · 27/09/2021 09:23

@Thegirlhasnoname

£10 off a £50 spend or £20 off a £100 spend at The Entertainer with code SAVEMORE
I think it's £10 off a £60 spend
Haudyourwheesht · 27/09/2021 09:24

@RevolvingPivot How do you get your music? We have Spotify which is £15 a month but because we can use it out and about with earphones it doesn't seem too bad. Prime also have 'unlimited' music

You know what I don't even know. Via Amazon I guess?

RunningKatie · 27/09/2021 09:28

Thank you all so much for the penguin love! DS is going to be a very happy chap.
I found the Hamleys penguin but couldnt add it to my basket but they've got 10% off toys with the code cart10 and have a monochrome creatto kit that can be made into a penguin Smile
Going to go on a Melissa and Doug hunt too, his idea of massive is something 3 feet tall but I think 2ft is going to be good enough!

22Giraffes · 27/09/2021 09:31

@guiltynetter glad I'm not the only one who gets sucked into those videos on TikTok 😂 I haven't ordered any but I find myself watching the live streams for far too long...

psuedocream3 · 27/09/2021 09:32

MOONPIG - free standard card just pay 85p postage code - MPKAJHFHDUEBAJWGFH

Sisisimone · 27/09/2021 09:42

Apple, Spotify and Prime are all £15 a month for family subscription RevolvingPivot so not sure how you'd get around it. Do they all usually want to play music at the same time? 3 of use it here to play very different styles of music but usually we don't all want to listen at the same time so just pay the normal subscription

MsMiaWallace · 27/09/2021 09:43

Just ordered the bumblebee scuttle bug for £16.50 on Amazon.

Changingagain · 27/09/2021 09:44

What are everyone's thoughts on the likelihood of Smyths having a decent code this year?
With them being the ones who send out a catalogue, a lot of the items on my kids lists are exclusive to Smyths. I want to get the ones that they're really wanting incase they go out of stock but would really be kicking myself if they then had money off shortly after.
I suppose most are in the same boat, but I don't suppose there's anyone with insider knowledge lurking about?

MsMiaWallace · 27/09/2021 09:49

Bing Talkie taxi for £6 on Amazon

Christmas1988 · 27/09/2021 09:52

@Changingagain the date Smyths usually have money off has been and gone so doubt very much they will have money off at a different time. I’d just suck it up and buy full price ☹️

psuedocream3 · 27/09/2021 09:56

@Changingagain I don't think anyone can say for sure, I would have thought toys would get more expensive if anything due to the 12x increase in shipping container costs and toyshops ordering at half capacity. I'd be surprised if we see discounts like previous years, what are you after? There seems to be some ok discounts at other retailers currently if they stock those bits.
