I'll start - Trading Places
Enemy of the State? Set at Christmas but very un-Christmassy...
Chronicles of Narnia (Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe)

Babette's Feast

@Cakey46 have you seen they’re showing the first Harry Potter film in the great hall at Harry Potter world? It’s eyewateringly expensive mind...

I really like a few TV Specials - the good life where Margot sends everything back because the tree is 6 inches too short, peep show where they undercook the turkey and shred the ham, the royle family where they do the mingling with some blue wkd and a banana.

I also like the one off show from a couple of years ago with Stephen merchant and him from people just do nothing where they travel across the country on Christmas Eve to buy a toy unicorn.

Not a film, but the BBC series Dickensian has become a December ritual here.

As a total aside, there is a hotel in Menton which can serve a Babette’s Feast menu for groups of diners.

The Bishop’s Wife with Cary Grant and David Niven.

"Ninkanink*. Excellent recommendation - Rare Exports is a great film

Chitty chitty bang bang, wizard if Oz, vicar of Dibley, Morecambe and wise, only fools and horses, lord of the rings- take me back to my childhood Christmases and complete Christmas for me!

jugglingduty · 24/09/2021 06:54

Eyes Wide Shut was the most unexpected Christmassy film I've seen. Fairy lights and Christmas trees all over the place, and it's so beautifully shot - the colours are all so vivid and gorgeous.

CoolShoeshine · 26/09/2021 07:16

While you were sleeping is very Christmassy
