@nicky2512

Two very different requests for help please. Firstly are chillies bottles ever on offer anywhere? Secondly I need several presents for a soon to be one year old boy for birthday and Christmas. Approx £25 - £30 each but less would be nice. Ideas welcome please. He likes cars/vehicles.

@nicky2512 Does it have to be a Chilly's bottle? Sho bottles are very similar and are offering a key worker discount of 50% - you need to apppy through their website and The information on FB seems to indicate that it's finishing soon.

Sho bottles

Costco have a Lego Infinity Gauntlet for £39.99 currently £57 on Amazon and £60ish everywhere else. I’ve just bought for DS14 and it looks great Infinity Gauntlet

Dreamingofwalden · 22/09/2021 22:45

I have seen scuttlebugs mentioned a couple of times and meant to comment. I have two year old twins and they are hands down our most played with toy.

They like to race round our island and ultra competitive Twin 1 at some random point will declare, “I win!” If you have hard floors and an open area they are great inside, except when someone rides over your foot.

Also great as they can be folded down and taken away with you.

If you are buying one for your own child they are often to be found for £5 on FB marketplace. Otherwise the Argos price listed above looks good.

Smileatthesmallthings · 22/09/2021 22:54

@nicky2512 I also have a SHO bottle which is fab. I've bought a few as gifts too, along with the food flask, using my keyworker 50% off discount. They have some beautiful designs, and a good selection of plain colours too, and you can customize what lid you get

whatwillicallmyself · 22/09/2021 23:06

Hi can anyone recommend one of those automatic hoovers are they called robovac ? I know lots of people bought them last year, were they any good ?

Also looking for a recommendation for a marble run, looking for one thats sturdy as my little man can get easily frustrsted so dont want him doing his nut with one that breaks easily Smile

Ashmonster · 22/09/2021 23:23

I've just come across My Little Eco Shop which looks to be a great shop for eco friendly beauty and household products.
They're based in Devon and if you use code endsummer25 you get a extra 25% off across the store. Other codes available but I couldn't get them to stack. Free postage at the moment if you spend £20.
I've just made an order for my eco warrior dd which I know she'll be over the moon with.
Sorry for the lack of link but I'm hopeless!

nicky2512 · 22/09/2021 23:23

@mummyof2boys30 @TheWoollybacksWife and @Smileatthesmallthings Looking at Sho now. Doesn’t have to be Chilly’s as long as it’s good quality.
And @Dreamingofwalden that’s good to know. I have just ordered one.

Thanks everyone for the help. That’s why I love this thread so much.
That’s one more ticked off. I wish my own teens were as easy to sort!

TheCrow · 22/09/2021 23:33

@JollyHostess I'm 33 and I have this shiny heart hype backpack, not sure the term 'adult' really applies here though 😂

@Sneezein3s

Not related to the Lego Infinity Gauntlet bargain per se, but just to say that kit is awesome and your son will love it! Was one of those kits I thoroughly enjoyed making - a great buy at £40. Smile

ConsuelaHammock · 22/09/2021 23:44

I’d recommend the eufy robovac . I bought one on Black Friday last year and I love him. I was sending the link to a friend earlier and noticed the one I bought is reduced to £159 atm on Amazon . I paid £150.

TheCrow · 22/09/2021 23:50

Just looked at the PoundToy 3 for 2 deal, it takes all the cheapest items off so I would have been saving 3p as it took all the penny deals off 🤦‍♀️ thought it might have a system like the boots one where they line it up by price and take every third item away. It says it's their 12 days of Christmas deal though so it looks like they'll have lots of different offers between now and then

passremarkable · 23/09/2021 00:51

I can't remember who but was someone after gonk merchandise?On the hair bobble website that someone recommended earlier there is a niche gonk scrunchie

Thanks for heads up about the Paddy & Scott's coffee sale. I bought their gift set last year and it looked way more expensive than it was. The sets are about £22-23 at the mo in the sale and I've just bought a couple more. I've stuck a referral code on the other thread which gets you £5 off. If it works on the gift sets that is a proper bargain...

OhThatChicken · 23/09/2021 04:41

@Smileatthesmallthings @nicky2512 Thank you so much for the water bottle chat. I just bought myself a gorgeous purple insulated coffee mug with the keyworker discount and I’m so chuffed!

TheGriffle · 23/09/2021 05:00

Does anyone know how good the dates are with Paddy and Scott coffee? Thinking of getting some whole beans to go with the Bodum set I got a few threads ago but not sure if coffee beans go stale or anything like that.

sorryiasked · 23/09/2021 06:01

Brand Alley have some gorgeous festive bedding sets from £14 for singles.

@JollyHostess

Can adults have Hype bags? (Asking for a friend)
Most definitely!! I wear whatever I like, who cares about others opinions. Ive got a few hype bags, an aladdin loungefly bag and currently am using a raya and the last dragon backpack. I also wear bright patterned leggings and character tshirts. Bright colours and fun prints are for everyone!!!

I'm glad you got sorted! I was also going to suggest the scuttlebug! If you still need any more ideas, mine loved a little bin truck at that age, you could put things in the back. My eldest had one from Tesco and my youngest had a paw patrol Rocky one. Also a Mac from cars so they could put cars inside and some of the metal cars.

Metal bottles, we've had some from Tesco and they are great. Kept my drink hot for several hours and kept them cold. Nice patterns too.

How old are your teens and what do they like, maybe others have similar and we could share our ideas! Ive got a 13 year old this year!

YesIcan3 · 23/09/2021 06:54

Anything like a scuttle bug but for a 4 year old about?

nicky2512 · 23/09/2021 06:56

@OhThatChicken A wee gift for yourself is always a good thing!

@Ricekrispie22 Love that! Will show my mum as I do her shopping too.

Thanks again everyone.

My son was given one of these for his first Christmas (he was born 31/12 so v nearly one) and he loves it! Jaques of London Toy Bus | Wooden Toy Bus with Passengers https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07W72NVC3/ref=cmswwrcppapiglttfabc5BXZ1JKE2KNXEHX1ZNW1

@YesIcan3 I'm in the same boat.

My 4 yo is back playing with the baby push along/ ride on Confused has a balance bike but likes something smaller/ stable to get on and off but scuttlebug is only for outside!
The little tiles car is a bit small now too.

They do an XL scuttle bug but it's not a great deal bigger I don't think.
