Looking to get my FIL a personalised chopping board with a shooting scene carved into it. Have seen one on etsy but wondering can anyone recommend someone they have used

AnotherOne4 · 20/09/2021 20:08

@YesIcan3

I'm looking for a wallet for dh but with a place to put Coins aswell. He doesn't want one of them coin things some older men use ekkk! Sorry that sounds bad. Anyone know of any?
I got my oh and brother a wallet similar to THIS last year. They both said they loved the coin zip compartment, as it keeps the coins from falling out.

Longtime lurker but wanted to share this:

Scuttlebugs reduced to £16.50 at Argos - great present for 1-2 year olds. Ours has been loved by two children and is still (just about) being ridden by the 4.5 year old. They are narrow and manoeuvrable unlike lots of other ride-ons

Hi gang, my mum has just asked for a new cutlery set. If anyone sees any bargains, please send them my way!

If you use the code TRYCPJ1 you can get this three pack sample of flavoured chickpeas for £1.98 and free shipping.
Thought they might be good for stocking fillers/hampers! Smile

@PinkJam yes fingers crossed.
There is one thing I want that is only click and collect which is really irritating as its the cheapest at Smyths so I have done one basket for delivery and then if discount is on Ill have to click and collect 2 things potentially depending on how long the offer lasts as they only keep stuff for 2 days and I cant really get there during the week as its too far away from work!
Gahhh!!

I mentioned last week that M&S seemed to be clearing some items to make space for the Christmas lines, and also that reductions happen on Monday afternoon.

To test this ... I went into a store today, and found the frozen things which might be suitable for Christmas day were even cheaper today. For example, the berry pavlova which had been reduced from £8 to £4 is now £1.76, and the ordinary meringue roulade was 61p. A bag of frozen root vegetables was 21p.

I imagine they will sell out quickly, though.

Big Potato Dino Dump down to £3 at Fenwick here

This card game was recommended last year for children so giving it a go. Postage is free over £25. £6.50 inc postage which is still a good reduction on the £10 RRP.

Wondering if anyone is aware of anything I've missed or knows a huge discount...
My son is just getting into harry potter and he wants an advent calendar with figures. I refuse to spend £50 on funko pop for a 6yr old but can't find anything else that doesn't also cost a fortune. Last year I got a bag of 24 Pokémon figures for less than £10 on eBay, which weren't amazing quality but satisfied him. Is there anything similar for harry potter? I'm really struggling. I could live with about £1 per figure and can do a make your own calendar of there is anything about.

ItsAllBlahBlahBlah · 20/09/2021 21:22

@Alwaysroomforcake perfect, thanks so much for this. DH loves 'different' snacks (he thinks he's healthy if he doesn't eat crisps 🤔) and I end up trawling through random expensive farm shops trying to find some bits to bump up his stocking so this is just great, really happy 🙂

ItsAllBlahBlahBlah · 20/09/2021 21:26

@SewVeryLazy what about the lego one would that be OK? It's about £20-25?

Alwaysroomforcake · 20/09/2021 21:26

@itsAllBlahBlahBlah so glad it was some use to you! X

A quick thank you to the poster who suggested buying paper bags to 'wrap' stocking fillers, I ordered these from eBay last week - 50 bags for £3.35 ( I have 4 children) and they are going to save me so much time!

@SewVeryLazy have a look at Harry Potter Lego mini figures, you may be able to get a bundle of them on eBay.

Daisy829 · 20/09/2021 21:47

Probs not a bargain but I’ve just seen this on Instagram. I need it! Let the M&S hunt begin

Does it have to be Harry potter figures everyday? You might get lucky with a cheap funko pop mini bundle if the common characters (there's dedicated Facebook groups or ebay). You could bulk out with harry potter themed sweets. Pinterest has loads if ideas for Harry potter sweets using regular ones. You could put in a spell everyday to practise. Day 1 could be a wand? You can get cheapish ones coming from China. I bought dd1 voldemorts wand for a few ££.

Or lego have done 2 series of Harry potter figures, you might find those cheap enough or a bundle of them. Or the Harry potter lego advent calendar.

sorryiasked · 20/09/2021 22:17

@SewVeryLazy could you get away with HP stickers every or most days? Lots about on amazon/ebay etc such as these and would leave budget to get something bigger on 2 or 3 days?

Raindancer411 · 20/09/2021 22:18

@NoWordForFluffy I thought Sainsburys had stopped their double up events for more general offers?

winteroversummer · 20/09/2021 22:31

@Tigger83 yes, the Sage Barista. I bought it for my husbands birthday this summer with £100 off in the Harrods sale and it's brilliant.
