Oodies

DD, 11, wants an Oodie for Christmas. Tell me, wise ones with sassy 11 year olds, does this have to be an oodie or would a knock off do?

I have one and I hate it!

Too bulky, hard to store, hard to wash, impossible to dry, makes you sweaty and I find it oppressive and can't keep it on for more than a minute!

DD has a much cheaper version that is thinner and generally much easier to wash and dry and she loves it, I have to sneak it out of her room to wash it.

The oodie languishes in my wardrobe as no one can bear to wear it for any length of time. I don't think I can truly express how much I resent it taking up space but can't chuck it as DH occasionally wears it for 10 mins before overheating and was a gift from him.

I know people love them but get a thinner cheaper one!

@StoatMilk

I'm thinking of buying a family Oodie bundle for Christmas presents. Would an Oodie fit someone who is a womens size 26-28 will it still have a bit of an oversize effect?

Has anyone bought the 6 pack bundle do they ever go lower than £252, and are they really worth it.

Much appreciated.

I got the 4 pack bundle - I don't think they'll go cheaper to be honest. My Mum is a size 20 and still loads of room in it

Mine are so easy to wash and dry hanging up overnight :-). They also stuff back into their bags so are quite easy to pack away.

Have bought a Dunelm one for my niece (nearly 22) for Christmas. I can’t compare directly to an Oodie, or other ones. However, did not want to spend a lot of money on one if it was not going to be worn a lot. My niece does love snuggly blankets etc. so if she likes the Dunelm one I can always buy her a “proper” one next Christmas or birthday (1 week before Christmas).

I have tried it on, and it is soft, warm & snuggly, so I think she will like it.
