I really really hate that film. Dull as dish water.

what was the overt religious message? Think it passed me by...? Duh.

TheHollyandMcDreamy · 02/12/2007 08:01

A favourite here too! Love it, really nice Xmas viewing.

kerryk · 02/12/2007 15:48

the last 2 years we have watched this with dd's on christmas eve before they go to bed, i can still hear the bell ringing to

Scotia · 02/12/2007 16:55

I've bought my ds a bell for Christmas - I think he'll be more exited about that than any other present! He loves the Polar Express.

Scotia · 02/12/2007 17:11

Exited! I mean excited

beautifuldays · 02/12/2007 18:23

what age is it suitable for? would my 3.5 yr old ds who is mad on trains and anything christmas like it?

VanillaPumpkin · 02/12/2007 21:18

YES!!!
(imo)

AllBuggiedOut · 02/12/2007 21:32

Tried it with my 3.5 year old train-mad DS last year and he didn't like it. The animation and colouring (at least early on in the film which is all we watched) are a bit bleak IMO.

VanillaPumpkin · 02/12/2007 21:55

Oh dear . It gets so fab.
DD1 watched it at 2.5 I think for the first time and loved it. She was a bit more scared last time a year later at some bits but still OK and the end is so lovely and Christmassy. We will watch it this year in the car on Christmas Eve on our way to the Grandparents. Can't wait.
