we watched a 3d version a few years ago and it was magical

twinsetandpearls · 02/12/2007 21:57

I didn't get the religious stuff either

I think that was part of the problem Vanilla Pumpkin - at 2.5 the scariness would have washed over him but at 3.5 it didn't. Maybe this year, at 4.5 he'll enjoy it - given the comments here it definitely sounds worth trying again!

We take the children and all the cousins to see the 3d version at the imax every year ...I cried when the 7 children sat between my husband and I and ooohhed and ahhed as they reached out to catch the 3d snow...it is often on at IMAX cinemas in DEC...fantastic

DS1 liked it so much the first christmas we watched it that we wound up watching it through most of the next year

Oddly enough, dh finds it a bit spooky/scary in parts but ds1 and I just love the whole thing.

I love the sequence where the ticket flutters out of the window. We saw this at the flicks a few years ago. It's amazing on the big screen

ABudafulSightWereHappyTonight · 03/12/2007 06:58

Watched it last year on Xmas Eve and liked it. Must hunt it out again.

Watched Elf last night! Great movie.

There's an IMAX cinema on the South Bank - don't know if they are showing the Polar Express at the moment though...

lenaschildminding · 17/12/2007 17:02
