evilherbivore different reasons but we are having a very tight budget Christmas too. My girls are similar ages as yours some ideas I have to bulk out the gifts,
Keeping an eye on facebook/olio/gumtree for free knick knacks, toys they might like. Currently looking for a TV for dd1 and picked up a couple of games for dd2 (free).
New backpack/lunch box rather than replace now - will wait until the back to school stuff is reduced.
Treat boxes - going to paint a big box and wrap up all those sweets/chocolates/fizzy drinks they aren't usually allowed.
Hit the charity shops for books/bargain gifts. Now is a good time as people are clearing out.
Printing off colouring sheets/craft ideas. Then put all materials together in a box.
Movie night hamper.
Ordering some fidget toys from shein/toysforapound.
Posters for their room.
Fleecey blankets (we like the primark/wilko or asda ones)
Cex or music magpie are great for computer games/dvds.

Basically I'm buying them things I would buy anyway (Treat food, replacing worn clothes etc) but presenting as a gift!

We bought a hot chocolate maker last year from aldi for £20, best purchase ever. That with some different hot chocolate sachets, marshmallows and a new cup each would make a lovely joint gift.

Nice things on brandalley and INSIDER code gives you £15 off a £75 spend. Postage is £5.75 though. Lots of posh candles, art prints, kitchenware etc with good discounts.

@CaffeineAndNicotine

Also, you know those American sideways flags that people put in games rooms? (Typo website gave me the idea, but they have only two) but typing pennant flag into amazon only gives bunting. Confused any ideas?
What do you want on the flag? Sayings like the Typo ones? Searching google for 'American pennant flag' or 'Typo pennant flag' came up with quite a few different options. Etsy also has various options. I had a US college one that was made of felt, so you could always make your own if you're crafty or on a budget!

@Thegirlhasnoname

There was me thinking I had got away with a £3.99 air fryer but woke to it cancelled this morning 😂

Just realised I’ve been focusing on DD (3 in Oct) for Christmas bargains when I will also have DS (11 months on Xmas day) to buy for too. What do you buy younger siblings when I’m pretty sure he will just want whatever DD has and probably be more than happy with wrapping paper?!

DD was 10 months last Christmas and we got her some Busy Books and musical books which have been popular during this year. Aldi have some musical nursery rhyme books in at the moment for £1.99 each

If anyone sees any microwheels play sets could you let me know? I think home bargains might have sold them at some point but not sure if they still do - going to scope today. They sell them on amazon but they're massively overpriced. Thanks 🙂

ItsAllBlahBlahBlah · 28/08/2021 08:12

Not sure if it been mentioned but the body shop sale is on which includes this winter jasmine gift set for £14.60 from last years Christmas collection winter gift set it has nice sized bits and bobs in. Its an extra 10% off if you are a member atm which is free to do. I've brought one each for me and mum to use in the build up to Christmas to feel festive. Free del. over £30.
