What is your favourite present your child got today?

It's only dd's second Christmas so not something I've really thought about before, but what was YOUR favourite present, for you child? Not DC's favourite in my case.

Dd's grandparent got her some reins with butterfly wings on her back. She cries when I put reins on her or try to keep hold of her hand but loves these ones because it's like dressing up! Winner!

Oh, just read it was meant to be MY favourite... probably a toy reindeer that walks and dances. It's something I would have hated as a child but as DS has loved discovering reindeer this Christmas time, I knew I had to buy him one. I've spent more time playing with it than he has!

DS2 (7) says that it's the Imaginext Crime Alley and DS1 (9) says it's his huge X-Shot gun. But actually the Harry Potter wands have had the most use. They've spent most of the day bellowing the Unforgivable Curses at each other.

I think DD1 must have got every piece of Harry Potter merchandise going - she's spent most of the day in a Hogwarts robe with a wand discovering that "accio remote control" doesn't work however much you swish and flick the wand.

You need to keep your thumb on the top button as you swish it. I used this article to figure out how to put them into battle mode. DS2 was victorious.

My favourite was the my generation doll and accessories we got DD - I've been dressing her more than DD has 😂
Also love the playmat that DM bought DS. It has a light up volcano and lots of lovely quality dinosaurs. Tomorrow I'm re creating Jurassic park! 😂

My favourite gift for DS (10) was a phone - he had no idea we would get him one & he was thrilled.

For DD (6) probably the Barbie ambulance. She seems really taken with it & has spent all day playing with it.

My favourite gift for DS(9) was a phone - he didn't think he'd get one so has been asking all our family and friends for their numbers so he can text them. When he opened it up his face was totally disbelief!

For DS(4) it is his cuddly Dry Bones from Mario - he's carried around with him everywhere.

These all sound great!
