Sorry if there’s already a thread.

I still need to:

Get a little something for my brother’s girlfriend.
Tidy bedrooms a bit
Clean bathroom
Clean kitchen including fridge
My husband still needs to wrap all of the presents
Collect a couple of food things on Christmas Eve

Hoping this thread might spark me to remember some of the things I’ve surely forgotten!

@myhobbyisouting

Nothing apart from preparing Christmas dinner and icing the cake
Same! I’m icing the cake tomorrow, I can’t wait, I’m going full on ice peaks retro complete with tacky plastic decorations 😆

Blitz the house. Collect M&S food shop, go to cemetery, wrap son's Christmas pressies, do all washing, dry and put away. Bit of a pamper, nails etc.

I'm finishing work today so I can do it all tomorrow then I can chill Christmas eve with TV, Bailey's and food Xmas Smile

KumquatSalad · 22/12/2020 16:59

I still have presents to wrap. Pretty much all of them.

The big shop is delivered tomorrow. But I need to go to the cheesemonger tomorrow.

And I need to find something nice to do on Christmas Eve with my DSes while DH works.

Skinandbones · 22/12/2020 17:04

So I have a supermarket shop, dh & dd are going to do that for me.
A quick do in the kitchen.
A decent tidy in living room, round the massive unicorn my ds bought for his dn.
Then thats it,
Hope you all have a fab Christmas, no matter what you're doing.

UndeadSlut · 22/12/2020 17:08

Wrap a last minute present for DP that just arrived.
Do present exchange with my parents (tier 4 so not seeing them on the day)
Dye my hair so it looks nice on the day!

That's it, I've been pretty organised this year.

Ninjaplus1 · 22/12/2020 17:10

Cleaning. Drop off presents.

TheGriffle · 22/12/2020 17:16

Tidy the kitchen and living room
Wrap all the stocking presents and all my children’s presents
Wrap dh’s presents
Deliver presents to SIL, PIL and my parents,
Sort the Christmas Eve box out
Food shop coming tomorrow morning
Picking up my food order from Morrisons tomorrow afternoon
Picking up my meat from the butcher Christmas Eve

Lots to do!

wendz86 · 22/12/2020 17:25

Clean bathrooms and hoover (only us here though).
Get wrapping paper to wrap last extra presents i bought for kids.

skankingpiglet · 22/12/2020 17:53

I need to pick up the pre-ordered side dishes tomorrow evening and will top up a few staples/fresh stuff whilst there.
I'm still waiting on a gift for DH, so will wrap that once it arrives.
I'm trying very hard to tidy the house and get a few DIY jobs done, but with the DCs causing mayhem it is proving difficult.

ChristmasPerfectionist · 22/12/2020 18:00

I am so glad I’m not the only one with a good few things still on my list!

Just hoovered the whole house but it will definitely need done again on Christmas Eve.

blackwych · 22/12/2020 18:12

Left to do:
Pick up turkey
Clean and tidy most of the house
Order one last present
Make some shortbread or similar
Check and wrap DCs' presents
Make the DCs tidy their rooms so that Father Christmas doesn't break his neck
Cut some holly
Get some logs in

I'm sure there's other stuff. I seem to be going at a snail's pace this year. I'm spending too much time doomscrolling.

Hophop26 · 22/12/2020 18:19

All of the DC’s wrapping agh!!!! I do not want to be doing it Christmas Eve but just haven’t been able to do it yet.

Some baking and general tidying/cleaning but will be irrelevant if I don’t get the wrapping done ha!

DrWankincense · 22/12/2020 18:28

Bit of a tidy up if I can be arsed.
Wrap one gift that will hopefully be delivered tomorrow.
Christmas Eve tradition is the kids help me prep all the veg listening to carols or The Bube, then we watch the Snowman with hot chocs/Baileys. Have a walk to look at all the neighbours lights and trees.
I have to bake our pud which this year will be tangerine and almond cake.
Nowt else. Drink. Eat. Drink some more!!

bagginses · 22/12/2020 18:40
  • Clean through (DDs will help with that)
  • deliver local cards and presents on our walk (DD1 gets out of isolation tomorrow so we are planning a long walk!)
  • Wrap the dog's presents
  • prep food on Christmas Eve

So not really much at all!

rosegoldwatcher · 22/12/2020 18:42

Wrap presents
Make a table centre piece from last year's broken door wreath
Make/cook/prepare cheesecake, pavlova, ice-cream, pate, french bread dough (on Christmas Eve)
Iron the table cloth.

Find an alternative Christmas day outfit if Phase Eight posh dress does not arrive in time!

UndeadSlut · 22/12/2020 18:44

My kids have just announced that Father Christmas only likes homemade biscuits 🙄 so add making those to my list!

RandomUsernameHere · 22/12/2020 18:52

All the wrapping, which I'll start tonight and spread over 3 evenings probably

PeggyMoo · 22/12/2020 19:12

Mainly cleaning and hoovering and food prep. Presents are all wrapped.

The most important job though is BUY CHEESE. Somehow managed to remove it from online shop!

LookMoreCloselier · 22/12/2020 19:12

I've had yesterday and today off so I've ticked off finishing wrapping and garden dropping presents. Posted last cards. Cleaned bathrooms, windows, changed all the beds. Food shop is coming tonight. Will just hoover and dust again before Christmas and remember to defrost stuff at various points. Reasonably organised.

Drogonssmile · 22/12/2020 19:43

I need to STOP. EATING. STOLLEN.

Otherwise, tidy up and put the tree up. We've been having a new kitchen and the floor went down today. Finally getting the house straight now.

SecretWitch · 22/12/2020 19:47

Wrap all dd’s gifts which we will do while she spends Christmas Eve with my mother.

Angbunnyboo · 22/12/2020 19:49

Clean bathroom
Make beds up with Xmas bedding
Quick hoover through
Collect from Sainsburys & M&S
Food shop coming tomorrow so will be playing fridge Tetris for next two days.

Wrapping all done and delivered before family went in to tier 4.

Lemondrops41 · 22/12/2020 19:55

Write and deliver the neighbours Christmas cards.
Prep the veg and start the trifle (Christmas Eve).

Titsywoo · 22/12/2020 19:57

Wrap the rest of the presents
Drop presents and some food bits to MIL now she can't come here on Xmas Day
Clean house

Got all the food yesterday and today thankfully

mnahmnah · 22/12/2020 20:02

Either buy some ready made turkey gravy (don’t want to go to a shop) or figure out how to make it (can’t be bothered and I’m vegetarian). Will get DH on it...
