Apart from paw patrol my son hasn’t asked for anything and I really want some balance in his presents . Looking for some ideas of what your 4 years olds have asked for .

My son loved Brio, hot wheels car, and a Playmobil plane - any kind of vehicle basically.

The stuff that got ignored and left in the toy box we're all the educational toys I bought him - jigsaws, puzzle books, magformers. Gutted! 😭

Bikingbear · 11/11/2020 08:55

Educational stuff gets ignored here too, regardless of how its disguised.
Magformers which frustrates me as the models don't stay together seems to be used for random things, imaginary gun, big stretch of the imagination dragon.

Any further ideas for 4 yos?

Is just 4 too young for k'nex?
Are magic tracks any good?
A drum?

My head is burst trying to come up with other ideas.

Mine boy loved playmobil and goo jit Zu figures

All the little children I know love those figures as they are so tactile - stretch figures

Playmobil here, and dressing up clothes. His dressing up stuff is used more than actual clothes.

Mine has asked for pj masks and super wings toys. I’ve got him some of those, but also duplo, Ikea easel (glad I got it before lockdown!), books, hot wheels track (he has loads of the cars which he loves playing with) and a teddy pillow.
His grandparents are also getting him the Melissa and Doug ice cream cart which he will love.

OdeToAutumn · 15/11/2020 20:48

@Fancyateapottea that cart looks amazing ! We got our son the small Melissa and Doug ice cream counter last year and he loves it. Plays with it all the time

His list is full of Lego!

But he will be getting some Lego, a globe (he's obsessed thanks to the continent song from school) some clothes ( that he needs and I'll wrap up) a bike top and maybe a new helmet and possibly Jessie and bullseye from toystory. Oh and a remote control car I got one deal from Amazon.

Mine is 4 a few days before Christmas, so this is for both:
Yoto Player and cards (I have a referral discount code if anyone wants one)
Kindle Fire 8 kids
Disney Cars colour changers
Mini racers Mack hauler
Playdoh muddy puddles pigs set (he loved the other playdoh sets we have)
Waffle dog jigsaw puzzle
Jolly Postman book
2 pack Hotwheels Monster Trucks
100 cats book (he loves 100 dogs)
Cityblock book (he loves Countablock and Alphablock)
Playmags
Interactive Waffle dog toy
Lego board and small set of Lego junior mini builds.
Family is getting a Gorilla Gym with doorway swing.

If anyone is looking at bikes it scooters, I really recommend the Vitus Nippy balance bike. It is lighter than a Strider at a fraction of the price and my DS is an absolute whizz on his. Much lighter and faster to go out and about on than his Micro scooter. Best thing we've bought him all year, he's obsessed with it and we've spent lockdown weekends at various skate parks.
