Wow gift for dm

Need a wow gift for dm.

She's worked like crazy this year (key worker) despite having health conditions. Me and dB live abroad and won't be able to visit. Looks like her dog will have to be put down before Christmas.

I recently was moaning how having dd at home is causing loads of extra housework and having a cordless vacuum would be a godsend. Few days later a new shark arrived from dm.

So she deserves a wow present. Any ideas? Has to look impressive and be a special treat. No food (strict diet due to health condition) and no experience days because of lockdown. What presents have you really loved in the past?

I was thinking this as an early gift but it's sold out, plus the amount of packaging makes me cringe a bit.

Some great ideas here. I agree with a pp about diabetes hampers - the stuff often included is no good/laxative/not encouraged by many doctors.

A good alternative would be cheese & biscuits /cold meat, smoked salmon hamper or similar. I'm sure I've seen some around.

@Blueuggboots it's funny you say that because my brother's girlfriend did a beautiful drawing of the dog and had it framed for them. I can't really top that! It is really a beautiful picture.

I've also been looking at water drop bottles and capsules, and then combine it with the photo puzzle, plus advent calendar start of December, should hopefully be quite a nice gift.

All the cashmere recommendations are lovely and I'd definitely like them myself. But my mum is the kind of person to throw everything in on 60 degrees and walk away. I've lost many clothes that way in my youth.

The Cheshire cheese club do some fantastic cheese hampers, as do northumberland cheeses. —I bloody love cheese—

I've bought my mum the espa calendar twice now but I always end up spending another £30-£40 on something extra for her to open on Christmas Day too.

Check out the Isle of Arran hampers for lovely cheese treats!
That calendar looks amazing!

What about one of those amazon Alexa things that let you see and talk to each other . Can’t recall what they are called

The rituals calendar is really nice. Also cashmere bed socks.
