How many Christmas trees does your household have. Am I bonkers to have 3?

One real one.

Obviously it’s up to every family, but too many trees would - to me - stop it feeling special. Maybe more if you’ve got a huge house, but if you live in a normal house I think one keeps it special.

I have 2 at opposite ends of the same room both artificial flocked trees - ones 8ft and very full, the other is 7ft but slimmer. I also also 4 x 3ft trees in various other rooms around the house...

1

Funnyface1 · 04/11/2020 22:26

We have 2 but I'll probably have more at some point.

Lockdownhairdontcare · 04/11/2020 22:56

Real one in living room, fake one in hallway, mini fake in each child’s bedroom (3), small wooden in our bedroom and 2ft real one in the kitchen... so 7?! Xmas Blush

Mustbethewine · 05/11/2020 02:11

I have 3 too. In in the living room, 9ne in my bedroom and one in the kids bedroom

oobedobe · 05/11/2020 02:32

1 real one in the main living space
1 fake white one in the family room
1 small twiggy 'winter tree' which moves around

I would quite like one in each of the bedrooms too but went for some twinkly mini lights instead, as they are easier to store!

Blackcountrychik · 05/11/2020 02:42

My dd's other family have 14!!!!!!!! 😳😳😳 A big house but even so 🤷‍♀️ The DH hates putting them all up every Christmas lol.

CloudyVanilla · 05/11/2020 03:07

We have a weird house layout meaning if the Christmas tree is in the living room as it has been the last few years, we don't see it if we are anywhere else as the living room is on a different floor. So yes this year I plan to have 2 and possibly going to get the kids a small one as well, though they might be too young so it might be more stress than it's worth!

MrsAvocet · 05/11/2020 03:14

We have a real one in the living room normally, and my sons have an artificial one each that go in the windows on the upstairs landing. Whether they will still be bothered decorating them this year I don't know. It used to be part of our Christmas traditions that they put theirs up before we went to buy the real one, but I guess they are getting a bit old for it all now they are sulky teenagers!

@PanamaPattie dining hall???

Do you live in a school?

AlrightBabby · 05/11/2020 04:43

5 trees - hall, lounge, dining room, snug, conservatory

Bickles · 05/11/2020 06:44

Big one in the bay window in the sitting room. Small one in the dining room. DS has a mini one in his bedroom. We have a potted real one that we put in the porch with lights. So 4.

Medianoche · 05/11/2020 06:55

Living room (7ft), garden room (6ft), one each for children’s rooms (2x4ft), one on shelf in the porch (2ft), one in a pot outside the front door (4ft).
One year, I’m going to pretend we live in Brighton Pavilion and set them all up in the same room.

Autumnspice · 05/11/2020 07:24

We have 3. One in the sitting room, one in the lounge and the other in the dining room

I love it as we can move between rooms and still feel festive.

ohidoliketobe · 05/11/2020 07:30

4
1 real 7-9ft in lounge
1 fake 5ft in kitchen diner
2 mini fakes in kids bedrooms

thalassoma · 05/11/2020 07:38

Two.

I have a 8ft real one in the lounge in traditional colours (warm white lights and red/green/gold decorations).

Then 6ft artificial green one on the upstairs landing with blue lights and blue/purple/teal decorations. Very me.

inappropriateraspberry · 05/11/2020 07:50

We have 2, but as a child we often had 4 or 5!!

Noitjustwontdo · 05/11/2020 11:23

Honestly never met anyone who has more than one tree. I’ve only ever seen it in National Trust houses Grin.

TrickyD · 05/11/2020 13:33

As a three tree owner, I am very impressed with those who run to four or more. It takes me getting on for three hours just to do the 8Ft sitting room tree, up to two hours for the dining room and a bit less for the conservatory. No useful DCs or DGCs to help. DH gives a hand with the very top of the big tree where a stepladder involved.

HollyandIvyandallthingsYule · 05/11/2020 13:36

This year we have moved into our house after several years of living in flats so we will have one big tree in the living room bay window, then our faux tree in the dining room, plus a small potted tree on our front porch. I’m SO EXCITED to be living in a house again!

longtompot · 05/11/2020 13:37

One currently, artificial, but when we get our conservatory we will have two, a real one in the living room and an artificial one in the conservatory.

A real tree in the living room bay window, that should have said! 🎄🎄🎄
WandaDavy · 05/11/2020 14:18

3 this year, possibly a small fourth in the kiddies bedroom!! Excited for Christmas.

Freshprincess · 05/11/2020 14:21

Just one.
But as we’ve moved everything around for work and study from home, it won’t go in the usual place, so I’m thinking of getting a small fake one for our main living room and a real one for my dining room/home office
