Does anyone do anything active on Christmas day?

We often go for a lovely walk on Christmas day and put a beef in the slow cooker for when we get back.

My dh and dc love wearing Christmas hats and greeting people we pass! (We live in the Lake District so lots of friendly walkers about, although much quieter at Christmas.

What active things do you do?

We are supposed to be going to the North Coast this year and were planning a walk on the beach. It would be our first year of going away at Christmas. Not sure that’s going to happen now Sad

@Rshard

We usually fill the woodshed to work off our breakfast; dh chops, dd transports the logs down the garden in the wheelbarrow and I stack them. A bit weird but strangely fun and very satisfying to do.
Very strange 🤣

We’re in Canada and often ski xmas day. You get a free day if you dress as Santa, Mrs Claus, Rudolph, grinch or elf Grin

Smuggest run of the year.

We usually go for a walk, when DC were young it might involve them taking one of their Christmas things e.g.' a scooter or remote control car or boomerang etc. When they were older it would just be a walk. Now they are adults (actually since they were 15 & 16 as they look a lot older) then we walk to the pub, have a drink together and then DH and I go home to finish dinner and DSs have another pint and then head home.

I always go for a massive run. However this is mainly because I don't have kids and have nothing else to do with the day.

We live in Spain, so one of us gets up early to take the dog out, then we all go for a walk at the beach after we’ve opened presents. Then home to cook the Xmas dinner which we have about 1.30. Then usually go out for a dog walk / kids take their bikes before back home to relax!

Quick 5k run in the morning, take kids the park for run about later (possibly in the morning too!)

Mid-morning beach walk after presents with the kids and mini bottle of champagne for the stroll.

Live in Caribbean so lots of folks out in the beach that we know.

Back to the house for food, merriment and dicking about in the pool.

Walk to church and back; maybe another walk later if time allows.
