DD eats, sleeps, breathes gymnastics. She doesn't need anything related to gymnastics at the moment.
She's got lots of make up and now prefers showers over baths so still lots of bath bombs as well.
Outside of gym she likes playing on the trampoline, family walks, drawing (looking at some more arts and crafts things) and slime.
What are you getting your 9-11 year olds?

My DD has asked for tiny treasures baby. I'm torn between thinking she's too old for a doll vs being quite pleased she's not asked for tech (although probably as she knows she wouldn't get it). I'm also planning on getting a couple of small dog agility bits for the garden.

maxineputyourredshoeson · 03/10/2020 20:28

My DD is 11 on 28th December and she’s getting stuff spread among both. She is absolutely Harry Potter mad.
HP lego
New bike
Waffle maker
HP hoodies & t-shirts
How to draw manga book with water colour pens and black outliner pens
Converse - she absolutely loves the ones you design yourself
Hair dryer - the new type like the dyson ones as she has very thick wavy hair
Various other clothes that’s she’s picked
HP light and snow globe

lexloofah · 03/10/2020 20:30

@maxineputyourredshoeson where did you get the manga drawing book please?

midnightstar66 · 03/10/2020 20:32

I've just ordered dd a little mini thermal printer (palm sized) that she can print stickers of photos or text from her phone. She collects schleich so getting her the stable and some horses and some clothes.

TheSockMonster · 03/10/2020 20:36

My 10 yo DD sent me this literally a hour and 10 mins ago, with a note saying she’d like #1 (the hoodie blanket)

Drysunshine · 03/10/2020 20:45

DD will be 11 next month and hasn’t believed for a few yrs.
She’s asked for -
Netball hoop and new ball
Hairdryer
Camera
Photo album (will print a pile of pics to start her off)
Lego dots frame set

Love the waffle maker idea someone mentioned. She’s gluten free so that would be fab if she could make her own.

My daughter is ten and has asked for a Nintendo Switch lite. All of your 10 year old daughters sound very grown up in comparison - mine is still very much still into toys. She plays all day with actual physical toys (I guess she doesn’t have her own phone so it’s kept her younger for longer than is “normal” nowadays) She also loves art and craft so I’ll be getting her new pens etc.

Same with mine. I can’t imagine her with makeup on. She loves books, playmobils and sylvanian family. No phone either.

My 10 year old dd (will be 11 by Christmas!) is massively into books so she will be getting lots of books plus vouchers for her Kindle. She's having her bedroom redecorated for her birthday and so will still need some bits by Christmas - pinboard, photo frames etc. She loves clothes especially pjs, lego especially HP bits and always needs bits related to her hobbies - will get her a new hoodie for dance etc.

thaegumathteth · 04/10/2020 00:50

Dd 10 got for her birthday

Tie dye kit and things to dye eg bedding and t shirts
Trampoline board
Robux
Headphones
YouTuber hoody
American candy

For Christmas she's getting

Oodie (penguin)
LED lights for her room
Skateboard

Other stuff I've not decided yet

maxineputyourredshoeson · 04/10/2020 10:06

I have 2 almost 11 yr olds at opposite ends of the maturity scale.

Both want Lego
Both want TY hamsters (eye roll)
One wants heaps of make up. I will get lip gloss and nail varnish
One wants animal crossing for her switch.
One want some Jacqueline Wilson books, one wants a football annual.
Both want some grapes, some haribo and a tube of Pringles (ffs, honestly)
One has asked for a nice necklace (the immature, non girly one) so I've got them both cute birthstone necklaces from Etsy.

I'll get done T-shirts', books and snow globes etc. Also calendars and torches asked for. I'm refusing to get pickmi pops which were in the list.

Their big present will be a phone each. We said phone at 11 in prep for walking to secondary and they are 11 in jan. they asked for some kind of smart watch but that's not much use without phone so we'll do phone first then if we can find the right budget watch, that for birthday.

Last year they got little mix and Harry Potter experience tickets. Little mix was cancelled but we just managed Harry Potter and we all loved it.

OohKittens · 04/10/2020 10:33

My daughter is 10 but still very much into toys.

She collects g1/2/3 my little pony so will be getting the new release 35th anniversary that she hasn't yet got.

She also collects schleich so more of those are on the list.

Point horror books.

Care bears anything.
Loungefly bag hello kitty.
Casio retro watch in pink.
Moomin silver necklace.
Roller boots.
Polly pocket bag from truffle shuffle
Toki doki soft toys
Switch games
Tiger electronics retro handheld sonic game.
Screwball scramble 2
Can't think what else off the top of my head but I've started so much earlier this year.

user1471530109 · 04/10/2020 10:37

I normally get tickets for something...strictly and Harry potter the last couple of years. But won't be doing that this year unfortunately.

She will be 11 and her dad has just got her her first phone. So I was thinking cheaper air pods. She wants white Nike trainers, a TV for her room (this has been a dilemma as I'm not sure I want her to have one as we only have one TV and I love the fact we all watch together. She has promised me this will still happen but wants the option and to feel older...Sad). Rollerskates, possibly a hoverboard (again not sure about this but it's something she has mentioned lots) or a Fitbit. I should say this will be split between her bday which is in December. And she won't get all of that! It's just on my list of 'possibles' at the moment.

The 7 year old is much more difficult to be honest!

maxineputyourredshoeson · 04/10/2020 10:45

maxineputyourredshoeson · 04/10/2020 14:27

@OohKittens Thank you! I’ve not seen them before and we used to call DD moomin as a baby.
@lexloofah There are lots of different ones. My DD loves that style too.

Mayvis · 04/10/2020 14:45

I’m stuck for my 10yo too. She’s not into anything girly like cosmetics or make up. She’s not hugely into technology and only has a very basic phone. Loves sport though. Still believes. So far, I’ve got on my list for her:

  • Guinness Book of Records
  • New duvet set
  • Something from Nike like a hoodie or leggings.

Then I’m stuck. Was going to get her an umbrella but she bought herself one yesterday.

Considering a Switch for my two children to share as we don’t have anything current console wise.

XiCi · 04/10/2020 14:59

I've only just started with dd really but have things like
Books
Giant Lindt ball
HP Slytherin hoodie
Shes really into Friends atm so have bought some Friends Merch
Earrings
Morphe eye palette
Watercolour pens/art supplies
Kawaii stationary set

Photo tiles

No idea what to get her for a main pressie atm. Previous presents that she loved and still suitable for this age are Echo dot, Instax camera, Kindle fire.

funtimefrank · 04/10/2020 17:17

@Mayvis we got them a switch to share last year. They don't have much tech and we keep in the living room so monitor use. Worked out well here.
