I haven’t seen any posts about what YOU would like for Christmas, I’m not talking good will to all and pure joy from your children (we all want that). What gifts would you love to actually receive?
I would love a stand mixer and books. I also love personalised gifts that show someone has put effort into thinking of something especially for you.

There isn't much on my wishlist this year, to be honest there hasn't been much on it the last several years. I'd be happy with a couple of books and a pair of opal earrings.

Elephanttrunk · 30/09/2020 09:57

So sorry for your losses @Lozz22 I do hope your Christmas wish comes true x

*For my dc to have an amazing time and to see their excited faces
...that's it. That's all I want

HEYAhhhhhhhhh · 30/09/2020 11:23

@Lozz22

The same thing I've wanted every Christmas for the last 15 years. A Baby. A Baby carried to term and born healthy. Sadly we lost our Second Baby on Christmas Day 2018 and our forth Baby just before Christmas last year
I'm so sorry. I've been where you are and It hurts so much. I hope your Christmas wish comes true. X
Zaphodsotherhead · 30/09/2020 17:14

I've asked for a summerhouse/shed for my big birthday just before Christmas, so I'd like some fripperies for that - nice lights and some seating perhaps.
And some decent running shoes and gloves.

TheCrow · 30/09/2020 18:16

Ruby hot chocolate mix (whittards did one last year so hoping they bring it back)
Lush Sleepy lotion
Some fluffy slipper boots
Wireless speakers for my phone
Tin of m&s Belgian chocolate biscuits

CoronaIsWatching · 30/09/2020 18:51
  • Bottle of Kahlua
  • Chillys bottle
  • Amazon voucher
-Vintage pottery/containers
  • Highland wool blanket
LadyofMisrule · 30/09/2020 19:21

A box of Lick the Spoon sea salt caramel chocolates
A hamper of "special" foods - lovely crackers, cheese, spices, sauces, different types of pasta
A selection of seeds for next year.

A cast iron roasting tin.

And I know I'm going to get all of the above, as I do all the present buying in our house. I shall wrap them beautifully, too.

Lozz22 · 30/09/2020 19:46

@Elephanttrunk Thank you, so do I

RainbowBrite1 · 30/09/2020 20:02

Chocolate
A big bottle of baileys
Hush pyjamas
The white company pyjamas
Hush dressing gown.
Liz Earle face cream
Body shop body butter
Molton brown bath oil

I also have my birthday before Christmas so that's for both

MarmaladeTeepee · 01/10/2020 07:26

Ironically, this year DH and I decided instead of getting each other birthday and Christmas presents, we would save up and go on a mini break without the DC - our 1st break without them in 11 years. By the time we can actually travel again we may even have enough saved to fulfill my ultimate dream of going on a safari Xmas Grin

Whathappenedtothelego · 01/10/2020 08:03

A beautiful teapot with integrated strainer.
A bone china mug to replace the one I dropped.
A box of those fresh, hand-made chocolates from those shops where all the chocolates are on display in rows behind glass, and you pick the select the ones you want.
I'd love a kitchen aid mixer in a funky colour, but realistically there is no room on the kitchen worktop.

AuntieMarys · 01/10/2020 08:05

Neom diffuser
David Bowie Monopoly
Molecule perfume
6 hardback books
Hotel chocolat peanut butter slab

Elephanttrunk · 03/10/2020 16:56

An Air fryer
Nice bubble bath
New pyjamas (primark will do)

But money is non existent so any we do have will go on trying to get something for our DS and Christmas food. O well that’s life Wine I’ll be happy seeing him happy

Everythingmagnolia · 03/10/2020 17:21

A bottle of Baileys
A telescope
Some nice slippers

PontiacBandit · 03/10/2020 17:33

There's nothing I need or want. I might get myself a few bits if there's something I see nearer to the time. We don't really do adult gifts.

mamaduckbone · 03/10/2020 17:44

I would love:
-A new really warm winter coat
-Some pyjamas
-Nice bubble bath and body lotion
-A fleece blanket for the sofa.
-Some posh chocolate

Can you tell I'm getting ready for a winter of staying in? (I might be lucky to get one or two of these things - only get a Christmas present from Dh and my mum)

MaverickDanger · 03/10/2020 17:47

For this baby to be born healthily on his due date & not too close to Christmas Day.

Present-wise, I’ve bought myself a stocking and a few Elemis beauty bits to go in there. I ordered a Protected Species raincoat from DH for walks & probably ask for loungewear, PJs, toiletries and vouchers for when my body gets back to normal.

Nanasueathome · 03/10/2020 17:48

Neom well-being pod diffuser
Daylesford Pimlico hamper
Jo Malone Waterlily perfume

MirandaMarple · 03/10/2020 17:50

Wine
Gin
Chocolate
Flowers/plants

I am uncomfortable making a 'list' If someone wants to buy me a gift then they can make the decision.

I make my own Bailey's and give out as gifts.

Hello! Remember me your long lost best friend?! I seem to have mislaid last years so two bottles this year would be great please!

Krazynights34 · 03/10/2020 18:06

I can think of a million things but it might be a no present year as moving house:
I’d love houseplants I can’t kill, someone to strip all the wallpaper off my new house, the Council to approve the disability grant do I can build a bathroom and bedroom for my DD.
Oh and the nice things like
Mint Velvet trainers - any!
Books (lots)
Hotel Chocolat chocs
Rowing machine
Amazing cushions
Warm throws for just about everywhere in the house
New trainers for exercise rather than day to day wear
Dior Caoture Totale cream
I could go on but I can dream!

micc · 03/10/2020 18:24

Some earrings, I've seen some nice ones on Argos
Books
I'm going to ask OH to get me a perfume, I dont really wear any, I have one from the body shop. I have no idea which one to get so I'm going to send him and see what he gets hahaha its gonna go either way!!

I'd also love a shark Hoover

MirandaMarple · 03/10/2020 19:09

@MrsGrindah

1 can of sweetened condensed milk
1 tbsp of instant coffee
1 carton LONG LIFE single cream (the standard Elmlea carton or supermarket equivalent)
8-10 fl oz whiskey (sorry it's my MIL's recipe and haven't bothered to do a conversion)

Dissolve coffee in whiskey.
Mix in condensed milk and cream.

IMBIBE.
