Hi, LoL amazing surprise on Costco online for £64.99 including delivery. It's a good price for all the dolls you get but I'm not sure if it will go cheaper on Black Friday so dithering at the moment

OhioOhioOhio · 03/08/2020 10:01

Omg I just saw the Christmas bedding. I really think I'm going to have to buy it this year. How do you do it? A Christmas set for December or a wintery type set for when the clocks change?

Tildero · 03/08/2020 10:08

Hi everyone
I’m back for my 3rd year now. DD will be 3 in December, I have seen something called a tonie box does anyone have one or would recommend them?

OhioOhioOhio · 03/08/2020 10:11

I've not heard of a tonie box before?

OhioOhioOhio · 03/08/2020 10:13

It looks lovely but way out of my budget.

PinkDaydreams · 03/08/2020 10:14

@Tildero i saw those last year (they’ve been on the tv a lot recently I’ve noticed) and decided my little one was too little last year, he will be nearly three this Xmas though so am considering. I’ve had a Leapfrog Leapstory box thing saved on my amazon wishlist for a while, I think it’s similar. I think the tonie box you buy different stories for it. No review personally but I’ll be watching with interest!

It basically a music and story box for kids. You buy different figures to go on top. It looks brilliant but expensive, wanted some first hand experience of anyone who may have one.
The reviews look good

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 03/08/2020 10:17

daisychops i would probably go for it, that seems to be around the going rate for those dolls second hand on ebay/the Facebook groups. But there is a new equivalent out this year with 4 OMG dolls and 4 normal size ones.
I'm waiting for a deal on the clubhouse that's just been released as my daughter has seen it and fallen in love!!

Tildero · 03/08/2020 10:18

@PinkDaydreams we have a leap pad 3 I’m not the impressed with it although DD does love it!
It came up on a google search for 3 year old gifts! Looks brilliant. Scared to take the plunge with the cost!

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 03/08/2020 10:20

tildero it may be me missing something, but wouldn't it be easier to buy a boom box and story cds? Then it will grow with the child and more flexibility :)

NoWordForFluffy · 03/08/2020 10:26

@OhioOhioOhio, we do the bedding all through December. Though our kids are Christmas-mad - no idea where they get that from! Xmas Grin - and sometimes want it on during the year! 😂

superstar84 · 03/08/2020 10:28

We looked at the toniebox but decided it wasn't worth the cost

The tonies are £15 each and most are only a 15-20 min story

Much better with a kids kindle

Methenyouplus4 · 03/08/2020 10:36

Silver Cross interactive Susie Doll half price on Amazon (£24). Daughter had her eye on Cry Baby but they look creepy, get pretty awful reviews&nearly twice the price. Think this will be a much nicer alternative and gets good reviews.

Lazysundayafternoons · 03/08/2020 10:55

The Christmas bedding goes on here in December, it used to be the day of the Christmas holidays, now we just have it on from around the start of the month, I absolutely love it. I dont tell anyone, I just wait for them to come home and realise Grin.
Starting to think about dnephews now, instead of a big present for them I might get them more useful things this year - a smaller toy, a book, a puzzle, pjs.
Also going to start on dp and dc's stockings and get those bits out of the way asap.

MovinOnUp · 03/08/2020 11:44

If anyone is looking for make-up gifts By Terry has a cracking sale on at the minute. Just got a lipstick set for my goddaughter and my niece.

Guys....I'm nearly done! Nearly!

The santa present and the main present from us will have to wait until they have written their letters to Santa (We do these on bonfire night)
But I have everything else in terms of presents for the DC and the family.
All except my Dad, Who was recently lamenting the lack of photos he has of me and the DC, So I'm thinking some kind of photo based gift.

Other than that, I just need to get.....

Christmas blankets and Christmas PJ's for the DC. Christmas mugs for hot chocolate (these will all be given on 1st December in what is usually their Christmas Eve basket, But they are supposed to be going to their Dad's house this Christmas Eve so I'm doing it early)

I'd like a new tree topper but don't really need any more decorations.
Need gift wrap and gift boxes.

Now I'm going to start adding bits and bobs to the weekly shop to put away for Christmas (and try and forget where I hid them so that I don't eat them)

OhioOhioOhio · 03/08/2020 11:45

I'm not really familiar with Tiger Tiger and have to drive a bit to get to one. Is their stock very seasonal or is it worth a trip for stocking fillers now?

ScorpioSphinxInACalicoDress · 03/08/2020 11:53

Tiger is the most amazing shop in the whole world Grin
Bedding- I do the same as pp, put new Christmas bedding on as a surprise. It often stays on till about March in family denial Grin
Off to look at By Terry Flowers

Lazysundayafternoons · 03/08/2020 12:05

My dsis always does the Christmas eve baskets for my DC but gives it to them on 1st December, they then get an extra 3 weeks to enjoy it all

SodOffCovid · 03/08/2020 12:14

Has anyone had to do a return to typo? I've ordered something in error and I literally cannot find the submit a returns request that their website directs you to...

SodOffCovid · 03/08/2020 12:34

Oh I think I've done it. Not very tech savvy...

ScorpioSphinxInACalicoDress · 03/08/2020 12:44

Bought the By Terry palette for DD and a foundation brush for me. Thank you!

MovinOnUp · 03/08/2020 12:48

@Lazysundayafternoons I kind of wish I had done them on the 1st of December from the beginning, Ah well!

woodwaj · 03/08/2020 12:49

@Tildero we have a tonie box DS is 5 and loves it. We've had it about a year! We haven't really used the creative tonies yet as hes not quite there yet but happy with the stories we have!

hoopdeloop · 03/08/2020 13:01

@Tildero we got a tonie box during lockdown as we got a creative one with it which meant grandparents and aunts and uncles could send me a voice recording of them reading a story for my boys. It did result in my brothers adding sound effects and becoming quite theatrical 😂

We like it, chose the Tonies that have the classic kids stories and some that sing songs
