Dh is going apoplectic. two high value packages from amazon, vanished.ntracking shows delivered. Unfortunately to a different number that doesn't exist on our road. Or any road near. To someone called Dave. No picture of id(required for this) or our door.I don't know any daves round here.(small town). Going through customer service, who treat you like a small child.
Ds ordered a package. Posted through letterbox. It was a record, so, no. Found two days later behind the recycling bin. Wet through.
I had a big package delivered yesterday. Did was in the front room next to the door. They left it in full view of the street on the doorstep.
I know they are busy and on min wage etc, but Arrrgh!

My delivery man didn't even knock. Just opened my front door and dumped the parcel in the hall way.
I'd seen him pull up and in the 10 seconds it took me to get to the door he did that.
I was in my PJs with no bra so not impressed. I often dart from bathroom (in direct line with front door down tge stsirs to bedroom with not alot on wgen home alone, so could have been embarrassing!!
Normally front door is locked but kids home from uni and DS had just come back in, not locking the door behind him.
I know they're rushed and overworked but at least bloody knock.
I also had a big Amazon box left on my doorstep in full view one day. There is no fence or gate and front garden if you can call it that is minimal, so basically my parcel was left on the pavement!

catanddogmake6 · 21/12/2019 11:46

Well the parcel I thought wouldn’t make it actually arrived today to a sigh of relief. Only to open it and find a completely different Lego set in it - one we already have. Not much I can do about it now so Father Christmas will just be less generous than he was going to be.

wonderpants · 24/12/2019 09:16

I'm waiting for some dungarees ordered 5 weeks ago from an Etsy seller that said delivery in 2-3 weeks. Not impressed at all!
And West End show tickets which is are the DCs main Christmas present.

Fingers crossed they both come today! An IOU doesn't quite unwrap the same!

OlafLovesAnna · 24/12/2019 09:22

I can add the Portuguese edn featuring DPD.

Tried to deliver last week, didn't leave a card so I didn't know until Friday when I contacted the seller. Phoned to have it redelivered to a pick up point. Rang on Sunday to confirm it would go to pick up point, they assured me it would be there yesterday.

While I was out I got a notification that it had gone back to the depot as they didn't know where to deliver it.

Fuckers.

Bombaybunty · 24/12/2019 09:26

Can I join please?

Ordered a spice hamper from Ottolengi on 6th December. Web site said 4-5 day delivery. 1st date 18th, no parcel. Then told 23rd no parcel. FedEx say they don't have it yet.

Phoned the helpline yesterday, closed until 27th. Waiting for a response from an email now. Shit service.

Still waiting on 2 T-shirt’s from IWOOT - Christmas tops that I ordered on Black Friday.

Estimated dispatch was 5th December- but I’m still waiting. They won’t refund me as they have Supposedly been dispatched already.

I presume they are stuck in a shipping container in customs as the rest of my order has arrived via international post.

They have also sent me an incorrect item, but the replacement they sent was another incorrect item!

They can only be contacted by email or FB messenger but take 48hrs to reply. Lots of similar stories on their FB page (although they keep deleting them)

Will never use again!

TrickyD · 24/12/2019 10:27

Still waiting for an Amazon item ordered on 11November. Just something I wanted for the Christmas Tree and it only cost £1.79 but still annoying.

sicasaparrot · 24/12/2019 10:59

We had exactly the same problem. Meant to come Sunday, chatted online last night and eventually they admitted it has been lost. They refunded my money.

CoffeeBeansGalore · 24/12/2019 11:03

Currently still waiting for 4 parcels (3 from same place) which I ordered as were advertised as delivered before Christmas. 1 may still come later today by courier, but not impressed.

SexlessBoulderBelly · 24/12/2019 11:08

The one... ONE important Christmas present that I ordered next day tracked delivery on the 21st that I payed £7 postage for... turned up at 9am this morning. But turned up I mean I have been up and about in the kitchen since 6:30am getting prepped for tomorrow.... opened the porch door at about 9:30 to put a pair of shoes out and low and behold.. a fucking Royal Mail “we attempted a delivery that needs signing for” card sticking out of the letter box that was not there last night... but it’s ok because it’s been ticked as ‘ready to collect next day from 6am’. FUCK off Royal Mail.

I have a a fairly loud doorbell that I can always hear even when I have the radio on so I have no idea what’s gone wrong but I really, really needed it Xmas Sad

Mummyonline · 24/12/2019 11:09

Stress-making, blood-boiling times! I spent an absolute fortune on a Photobook as it guaranteed delivery before Christmas. Not the best photo books and couldn't get gloss as that would have to arrive after Christmas, but needed something desperately. Received an email at 6pm yesterday to say 'Good news, it's on its wAy and will be with you by December 30th'. Absolutely livid as I paid a fortune for a crap Photobook and now don't have a gift for DH.

Plannergirl9 · 24/12/2019 11:13

I ordered from a company on the basis they don't use hermes. I get my tracking email... from hermes. Crown Angry I have spoke to the company, they forgot to update their website as they have changed to hermes now. If I want a refund I have to refuse delivery. Good luck with that our local hermes person using Frisbees parcels over the fence and forges signatures accepting delivery. Which is why we don't use them.

Frlrlrubert · 24/12/2019 11:17

Amazon package delivered behind bin' on Thursday. No card, no doorbell, no barking dogs (gravel drive, 2 cocker spaniels, no way anyone is getting to the bin without them telling us).

Customer service says 'delivered to householder, check with other people in your house' bollocks.

Replacement on the way but not until after Xmas.

Luckily not a present, someone somewhere has a lovely free child's car seat.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 24/12/2019 11:37

I'm waiting for Fedex... to be fair all other deliveries have been pretty good, but Fedex appear to have turned tracking off for the day and I now need to go to the shop to get meds as DP isn't very well. Tracking just says delivery before 10pm so I've got no idea when to go... eek.

Redda · 24/12/2019 12:23

Not waiting on anything but massively impressed that an Xbox I ordered from Amazon France on Sunday arrived this morning - it was an impulse bargain buy and was due to be delivered on Friday.

Newfloorlamp · 24/12/2019 12:31

Just went and caught up with the dpd van at the next building as I received a 'sorry we missed you' text and email while I was sat at home waiting for the parcel. Literally could see the driver and van from my window! As I went up to him he said 'I went there- it's not working' so he had a guilty conscience! I'm glad to have the parcel and not be waiting in for it another day, so frustrating to have to chase a delivery driver to get it rather than them just deliver it though.

AJTracey · 24/12/2019 12:32

Love it when they lie and say “handed to resident” or “delivered through door”... we CCTV!

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 24/12/2019 14:56

I cursed it, FedEx now say that nobody was in. He hasn't come. I can pick it up from the depot before it closes at 5pm but the driver isn't due back until 6pm Xmas Angry

I'm raging, and waiting for a call back. I've been in and at the window all day!

slothbyday · 24/12/2019 15:09

If in doubt check in the bbq 🤷‍♀️

nocoolnamesleft · 24/12/2019 15:11

Hotelchocolat appear to have never dispatched it. Livid.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 24/12/2019 15:14

@nocoolnamesleft I saw yesterday that their social media was covered in complaints about orders never being processed or dispatched. They seemed to let a decent amount go collect it from a store, if that works for you and they're open long enough today...

Eurgh how frustrating Thanks

GuiltyPleasure · 24/12/2019 15:24

DD has just received a picture of a parcel delivered by Hermes to her flat in London..or rather to the communal hallway of her block...Only problem is that we're in North Yorkshire & she's not back in London for 2 weeks. She'd had numerous conversations with the company she'd bought from who assured her as late as lunchtime today that the parcel was going to the right address & it was just that the system hadn't updated to show it. Luckily she has a back-up present to give.

JustASmallTownCurl · 24/12/2019 15:32

Oh god my blood pressure has gone through the roof just reading this. Sorry to people who are missing stuff, it's so unfair when delivery isn't even attempted properly.

I used to use DPD to send out items for work and was mortified when people witnessed drivers chucking their parcels on their front doors without even attempting to knock.

I don't get why they do it - in those cases surely it's easier for them to knock and hand it over rather than risk a bollocking if people complain.

I obviously don't use DPD anymore.

Hope everyone gets their deliveries ASAP Thanks

ouch321 · 24/12/2019 15:43

I thought DPD were the good ones!

Hermes the worst.

And DHL in the middle.

Ineedaweeinpeace · 24/12/2019 15:45

DH works from home they never ever ever knock just chuck it by the front door and run. I have started saying hi I’m the doorbell app we have and saying please knock my DH is in Grin
