Varying between 5 and 10, 4 people staying for 3 nights

DarlingNikita · 20/12/2019 11:41

Me and DP and the telly
Will have a slap-up dinner at home at some point with our lodger, but he's away Christmas Eve–Boxing Day at least, so we have a few days to ourselves, which will be nice.

Might do a duty phone call to one or both parents, but otherwise won't really bother being 'Christmassy'.

Lovemusic33 · 20/12/2019 11:56

Me and the dd’s, so just the 3 of us.

WhereverIMayRoam · 20/12/2019 12:19

Me, Dh and two dc. We will however go to my sister and nephew for an hour or so in the morning, then drive them to my parents and have another hour or so there. Best of both worlds for us - we see everyone (we’re all in the same city) but still get to do Christmas our way Smile.

TinselTortoise · 20/12/2019 12:20

DH and my 2 DD's. Our extended family live all over the place so it's always just the 4 of us.

Womenwotlunch · 20/12/2019 12:40

16

caperplips · 20/12/2019 12:45

5 of us in total
25 on NYD

Eminybob · 20/12/2019 12:51

It’s just me, DH and the DSs. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Will see the in laws for exchange of gifts in the morning, but the rest of the day is just for us.

shinynewapplesonachristmastree · 20/12/2019 14:13

Just Me, DH, DS(18) and the dog for dinner.

DH and DS will visit FIL around lunch time to take presents and a plated dinner and I will visit DM in care home, then back to do our meal. We may do those visits jointly, but probably separate as less rushed.

DS's GF will come over for an hour early evening then they will both go back to her family, leaving just me, DH and the dog.

My brother and his partner (not local) are coming round this evening.

Very different to Christmases around 5 years ago when I'd cook for all extended family.

hiredandsqueak · 20/12/2019 14:27

4dc, baby dgs, exh Hmm and two dogs will probably be very glad when they go home if I'm honest.

MalarkeyMouse · 20/12/2019 19:41

Seven humans, three canines.

HeyMicky · 20/12/2019 19:47

15 of us for a pre-xmas get together on the 22nd as all the nieces/step nieces are in blended families and are with the other parents on the 25th. I am thankfully not hosting. It's a full on Christmas lunch and piles of presents for all DCs but mine.

Then me, DH, 2 DDs, PILs and a family friend who is alone otherwise for Xmas day.

GoldenHoops · 21/12/2019 14:27

Christmas eve 10
Christmas day 16
Boxing day lost count!

Honeybee85 · 21/12/2019 14:36

During the day : me and DS. Plus our master (our cat). The other human slave, DH, will be at work since we live in Asia so it’s not an official holiday over here. After he comes home, we’ll go for dinner (master will stay home to enjoy the comfort of having her empire all to herself for the evening).

SeasideThisChristmas · 21/12/2019 17:17

I've done big family christmases all my life, now I'm really in to just spending it alone (with the dog & cat) and chilling.

8Track · 21/12/2019 17:49

DP and a friend of his. Dog and cat.

Boxing day - DP, dog and I will go to my mum and dad's where we may see my brother and hopefully not his wife

CherryPavlova · 21/12/2019 17:51

ThePolishWombat · 21/12/2019 17:52

Me, DH, our 3 DCs, my parents, maternal grandmother, Dsis, her partner and DC.

All piling round my mum’s. The same as every year! Means a lot to her to have all the grandchildren in one place for Christmas Xmas Smile

milliefiori · 21/12/2019 17:54

DH and DC (2 of them) Can't wait. We've seen my lovely DBro and will see D-Aunt and uncle, DFiL-Grandpa and Great Uncle after Christmas - all coming to visit or stay. So we're not being entirely antisocial. But I do fancy the day on our own all calm and quiet and doing what we want.

Wilma55 · 21/12/2019 17:57

Me, OH and two friends.

SexlessBoulderBelly · 21/12/2019 17:59

Me, DP, Ddog and the baby in my belly.. unless they deliver her in the next few days Grin

GrannyBags · 21/12/2019 18:48

About 80! Christmas lunch at the church hall for elderly and lonely folk. Not many people can say that the vicar cooks their Christmas lunch.

ThePolishWombat · 21/12/2019 19:00

Oh and Boxing Day the entire extended family (literally everyone, aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins - all in all about 18 adults and 15 kids) all head round to the cousins who have the biggest house Xmas Grin
