When I was a kid there were loads of things we only had at Christmas - shortbread biscuits, squirty cream, Thornton’s fudge. Now everything seams to be all year round!

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 14/12/2019 12:27

Cranberry sauce
Pigs in blankets
Homemade pork sausagemeat, sage and onion stuffing
Twiglets!
Nuts in shells for dh to enjoy cracking
Brandy butter and Chr. Pud, though we're usually still eating those two warmed together in the microwave - yum - past 12th Night.
Buck's Fizz, gallons of it, made with with proper fresh orange juice

Mince pies only ever in December and as long as there any left - will never make or buy any before 1st Dec.

Mincemeat and apple crumble - delish! - sometime between Christmas Day and the end of Jan, assuming I have any mincemeat to use up.

PudOnFire · 14/12/2019 14:15

Proper cheeseboard with crackers, chutneys etc
Xmas pud, cake & mince pies
