Right so apart from any personal / one time only presents... what do you put in every stocking, every year without fail? We always put a clementine, a magazine and a chocolate coin!

The only thing we put in every year that's not been mentioned so far is party poppers, several in each, all through the stocking.

bath bomb, giant chocolate coin (one year I left it too late and couldn't find one so had to spend stupid money in Starbucks for one!), bag of chocolate coins, Lego minifigure, chocolate orange, lip balm, keyring, socks, pants usually in their favourite character and a teddy poking its head out of the top.

plus Mrs Claus leaves a basket of chocolate bread next to the stockings for breakfast (all started a few years ago when dd1 wanted bread for Christmas, now it's on the list every year and I have to wait till they are asleep Xmas eve to bake it then wash it all up)

Lindt Chocolate Santa and a tube of sweets every year.

AlohaMolly · 04/12/2019 18:59

DS is 3.5 this year and I’m excited to start these traditions! We also had chocolate coins in ours, so he will too. I’m putting socks in, I’ll get him some bubble bath, a rainbow toothbrush and toothpaste.

thaegumathteth · 04/12/2019 19:33

Yeah £1 in the toe

Blu tack is because for some reason both my children love it - not for sticking things but for stretching etc

etluxperpetua · 04/12/2019 19:38

Shameless place marking. All ours have been mentioned except for a calendar (rolled up). Loving the Lego minifigures and the novelty loo roll!

When I was a kid I also always used to get a lump of coal and one of those jointed plastic snakes.

Cloudyyy · 04/12/2019 21:17

Coal! Shock I like the idea of fluffy socks and one giant chocolate coin! Teddy with his head it’s of the top sounds adorable!

I do a stocking for my DD, adult.
Chocolate coins
A few fancy face packs from super drug
Cotton wool pads
Emery boards
Nail varnish remover
Cotton buds
A couple of nail varnishes
Pack of socks
( most of my Christmas stocking shopping is done in super drug)

Light sticks from tiger tiger
A tangerine which is never eaten.
Sugar mouse if I can find one ( they are getting really hard to track down)

ArabellaPilkington · 05/12/2019 06:59

A small cuddly toy poking out of the side pocket (last year was a Niffler)
Toffifee small box (in-joke)
