I know a few people on the thread, like me, had been after a pork scratching advent calendar. They have them in store at Debenhams with 20% off, bringing them down to £12, which I think is better value than anything I've seen on line. Was happy I held out!

If any one sees anything along the lines of the cult beauty starter kit that was mentioned on here before can they shout up please. Missed out before, can't find anything similar and it's still out of stock

@1stTimeMama any chance anyone in the family needs a new phone contract? There are a few offers on for monthly contracts which include a Switch or PS4 starting from £20 a month, with EE, Virgin and Vodafone.

@1stTimeMama we have a switch and a PS4, and since we got the Switch the PS4 is rarely used. There were bundle for BF going around? Just cant remember them, but they'll be a few pages back.

How did everyone get on yesterday?
I’m pleased on the whole with Black Friday as I got the last few things on my list at a decent saving. I only twitched for the Lisa Angel constellation necklace which I was considering getting for dd’s birthday, and I didn’t miss out on better bargains on the things I’d bought earlier, so all in all it’s been a very successful Christmas shopping wise, thanks largely to these threads. I’m very very grateful @Reastie @sideorderofchips for the threads and to all the posters who take the time to spot and share bargains, and for the lovely warm atmosphere and humour here.

anyone still looking for advent calendars - Tesco had a bunch of them half price when I was in yesterday. They included some of the more expensive ones like the After Eight tower and the Cadbury tower with chocolates and stickers. They also had an absolute ton still in - like massive boxes of the toblerone ones stacked on top of each other. Where we were both Tesco & Asda totally overstocked on Easter Eggs this year and had aisles full half price eggs for a couple of weeks afterwards. I get the sneaking suspicion that they might have done the same with advent calendars and there might be loads on sale come Monday
