@PinkDaydreams

Thank you Flowers

PinkDaydreams · 06/11/2019 12:33

I posted some binoculars from eBay a few pages back, bfull they’re called. Well DONT BUY THEM!! They’ve arrived and everything is double imaged, been messing about with them trying to get them to work but they’re rubbish!

Jennywallpaper · 06/11/2019 12:35

Please help me wise MNers I can't decide if I should order the Switch now from Very with the £50 back or hold off on the hope of a better offer on Black Friday? Does anyone have an idea what I should do? I'll kick myself if I pay more than I need to.

IdleBet · 06/11/2019 12:36

sleepismysuperpower1 no worries, if it does become spare I'll have a try. If not, I'll keep looking Smile

PinkDaydreams · 06/11/2019 12:37

Sorry off amazon the binoculars, not eBay.

Vebrithien · 06/11/2019 12:46

Had an email back from the hamper people, saying I can either have a refund or they will honour the order, even though I didn't already have an order with them.
I've asked to be refunded, as I didn't really need the hampers and the stress of waiting to see if they actually arrive, isn't worth the potential saving.
I'd imagine 5 working days as a minimum for the refund to show, but will report back!
B and M have some hampers for £7, that are probably closer to what I was looking for, that I'll get when I've got my refund.

gaggiagirl · 06/11/2019 12:49

Tarte link be swift though the offer is only live for 23 hours now

VividImagination · 06/11/2019 12:58

@Jennywallpaper I’ve ordered it. My reasoning was that I can pay it up and it’s by far the best deal I’ve seen yet. I suppose it could be returned if you got a much better deal but I’ve decided to be happy.

Amazon have some small discounts (tick voucher) on la jolie muse candles
I’ve bought several over the last couple of years, both for myself and for gifts and they are always beautifully boxed. Ijust got a lavender one and a 3 tin gift set.

Limitedsimba123 · 06/11/2019 13:04

Thanks @gaggiagirl I’ve ordered one, it looks amazing value.

Stolenidentity · 06/11/2019 13:10

Oh no. I think I ordered the binoculars too.

Elpheba · 06/11/2019 13:17

@sleepismysuperpower1 I’d love a chillys code too please if there is more than one?

Jennywallpaper · 06/11/2019 13:18

@VividImagination that's what I've been thinking, I'm probably going to buy it from either very or Argos anyway as I need the BNPL option.
I think I'm going to go for it, I really can't see it being much cheaper, well here's hoping anyway lol .

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 06/11/2019 13:28

Got an email about pre-ordering Christmas trees🎄 from Patch - 15% off and free delivery with code HOHOHO. Looks like you can get it delivered as early as 20th November!

Deal valid for 4 days, 10 hours...

I think I might give it a try just to avoid pine needles in the car!

BigmouseLittlehouse · 06/11/2019 13:40

@VividImagination - thank you for the jolie muse candles tip. I hadn’t heard of them before but the candles look lovely and the reviews are fantastic. I may have bought two for myself Blush

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 06/11/2019 13:44

I got a pumpkin la jolie muse candle last year - it was lovely!

AstrosFan · 06/11/2019 14:05

Ummm...so here’s the story of my day so far...

8.50am - Drop kids at school and quickly scoot into Tesco for bread & milk.

9.20am - Drop groceries at home and nip into town to go to very non-bargainous, gift shop full of local artists’ offerings for 2 house warming gifts for friends. Confused

10.15am - Decide on a whim to go into B&M to pick up the hot sauce advent calendar I had seen last week for DS. Discover on arrival that it closes down on Saturday and everything is 50% off. Shop is absolute bedlam. Shock

11.35am - Eventually make it out of B&M with 2 massive bin bags of stuff. Move car (half an hour after my parking ran out) and then head back in for a second go. Blush

1.10pm - Leave B&M for a 2nd time with another 2 massive bags and my mum in tow as had met her in the queue and she’d bought too much to carry home. Grin

I am knackered but my shopping covered my king size bed and included tons of Christmas sweets and biscuits, cosmetics and toiletries for the women’s aid hostel Christmas packs and way more crisps than any family could possibly need. they’ll all be gone in a month

Total came to just under £65 - the same stuff in the likes of Tesco would have cost easily £150. Absolutely delighted!

Now if anyone needs a spare toblerone, it seems a dozen snuck their way into my basket and I only actually need 4!

studentvera · 06/11/2019 14:13

DILLYDOILEY that's a bargain for the castle! I can't find please would you send a link for it? X

MsMiaWallace · 06/11/2019 14:13

Argos have the Jurassic world colossal T Rex half price at £35 (normally £70) get 20% off makes it £28!
Bargain!

noodledoodler · 06/11/2019 14:13

@Jennywallpaper i just bought one today through ebay argos (though its a currys purchase, go figure) got the 20 Percent off with code pristine, BNPL option through paypal and topcashback too. Not quite the 50 quid back but I already bought one from very. This is a switch only, didn't need the games.£251. I am done shopping now, might have to take up knitting or something instead!!!

Kraggle · 06/11/2019 14:18

For the hampers, this is what I can see on their Facebook page, they don’t mention in this post that it’s only if you’ve ordered previously. I’m still keeping my fingers crossed they honour them.

Thread 11 - it seemed like a good deal but ......... can anyone tell me what it does and why I need it?
noodledoodler · 06/11/2019 14:34

Sorry just realised that came up as 20 should be 10

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 06/11/2019 14:40

Gone a bit toy crazy today

playmobil space station at £36 (lowest ever, average price = £52)

lego space shuttle at £16 (lowest was £15, average = £21.52, so a good deal)

and thanks for the tip on the Argos 20% off staking with the 2 for £15 deal. brings each toy down to £6 which makes some of them a complete bargain

Gustavo1 · 06/11/2019 14:43

I have had one of the jolie muse white tea candles. It was really lovely. Smell didnt quite fill a room but it was very nice.

crustycrab · 06/11/2019 14:48

I'm not worried about the hampers. But time will tell!

chocolatepudandchocolatesauce · 06/11/2019 14:59

For those of you looking for letters from Santa I can highly recommend the nspcc letter from Santa. There is a suggested donation of £5. They are personalised and come on lovely paper. I've been getting them for 9 years and have kept them all. They are different every year.
