Thanks @VividImagination for title.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

stormsurfer don't worry you told us in good faith, not your fault at all. I think it will be ok.

noodledoodler · 05/11/2019 19:18

I'd be more worried about card details than not getting the hamper delivered.....

noodledoodler · 05/11/2019 19:20

And yes,@stormsurfer all grown ups on this thread, no one is forcing anyone to place orders, it would kill the thread if people stopped sharing bargains just in case

Vebrithien · 05/11/2019 19:25

So, hampers. What do we reckon?
Ordered 2, before seeing the later messages.
Got an instant email receipt for the order.
Do I lock my card now?

whatwillicallmyself · 05/11/2019 19:26

Sugar I should have read the whole thread I have just ordered three hampers. Can we cancel the payment with Visa ?

thaegumathteth · 05/11/2019 19:32

IWOOT has a flash sale for 3 for £18 on some small gifts includes wallet ninja type things sweets, gin accessories etc.

SleighbellsAndHollyberries · 05/11/2019 19:38

@whatwillicallmyself Perhaps email company and request cancellation and refund? May be worth a try if you're really worried.

xTinkerhellx · 05/11/2019 19:40

@noodledoodler the payment was processed via Shopify, so the retailer shouldn't have access to your unencrypted card details.

I actually think we will get the hampers, but Shopify is fully PCI compliant so they definitely cannot get your card details.

Kraggle · 05/11/2019 19:41

I hope the hampers will be ok, I’ve ordered 2 standard ones and one diabetic one. Paid on credit card as well.

xTinkerhellx · 05/11/2019 19:42

In case above looks contradictory, change the 'shouldn't have access' to 'they definitely do not have access' to your card details.

itwaseverthus · 05/11/2019 19:48

Like I say, I don't want to be negative and hope I'm wrong but felt I ought to point out the short lived history of the company. Not that this always means anything, I mean, every company has to start somewhere. I think the thing that alarmed me was the delayed shipping date.

noodledoodler · 05/11/2019 19:53

My good housekeeping recipe book arrived today, really lovely gift with the subscription. No sign as yet of my topcash back, how long did it take for others?

Scbchl · 05/11/2019 20:04

If the company was dissolved then the same directors may not of been able to start a new limited company so used their kids name. That's what my old boss done..I'm not the least bit worried about not getting it..

crustycrab · 05/11/2019 20:05

I've raised a claim with topcashback for mine.

CupoTeap · 05/11/2019 20:07

@ButtonMooooon lovely - where are the hangers from?

coffeetofunction · 05/11/2019 20:08

@jammiebammie I have a 14yo and I would suggest, Nike gloves, a power bank, phone accessories, a Christmas day game they could play with the family, funky stationary, yard of chocolate/biscuits/sweets/ect, useful keyring, led torch, something small that relates to hobby

whatwillicallmyself · 05/11/2019 20:10

Hi @crustycrab what do you mean you have raised a claim with topcashback for yours ?

What is everyone else doing re hampers are you cancelling or not ?

BigmouseLittlehouse · 05/11/2019 20:11

On the hampers I’ve emailed the company to ask for a refund ( as I didn’t really need it anyway Grin) and they have emailed back stating they have refunded. It hasn’t appeared back on my account but Tbf I wouldn’t expect it to.

Will keep people posted if refund appears/payment is reversed.

BigmouseLittlehouse · 05/11/2019 20:12

The refund appears to be showing via the shopify payment so hopefully all legit and everyone will get their orders!

NoWordForFluffy · 05/11/2019 20:14

The shipping date will be about the longevity of the products, I think.

luckiestgirl · 05/11/2019 20:15

I’m not worried about the hampers and will not be asking for a refund.

Doubledoodlemummy · 05/11/2019 20:15

Don’t want to be party pooper but if you are ordering hampers please make sure you do it with a credit card. A few years ago a large number of people on the money savers expert website ordered Christmas hampers with the Norfolk Hamper company. Some people did get lovely hampers but lots of us didn’t and the company went bust. It was in the papers and I was even on the radio about it. Thankfully I paid with my credit card so eventually got my money back and was just left with having to organise presents at the last minute but many people lost their money. It was a similar scheme where you ordered and then were due delivery in December.

PoopaPoopa · 05/11/2019 20:19

I also became a hamper sheep 🐑
Hope it’s all legit but totally not your fault if it’s not @stormsurfer
If anyone of us receive these for Christmas we’re going to know the giver is a mnetter (especially if they also receive any dr botanical, grum etc etc )

newroundhere · 05/11/2019 20:20

Thanks to everyone for the great recommendations for reconditioned phones for my DM (I have name changed back from my Halloween name Grin). Sadly my DF has decided that if we're buying for a present then it needs to be new and not "second hand" so I'm back to square one....

What's the cheapest way to buy a new fairly basic but new iPhone (7? 6s?) without a contract? Are they likely to go into Black Friday? Best option I can find at the moment is Very with the new customer discount.

(I'm also crossing my fingers on the hampers - to be fair no one has actually had a problem so far so fingers crossed it's all fine)

PoopaPoopa · 05/11/2019 20:20

Oh boo why aren’t my festive grins coming out?? Did I do it wrong or am I too early?
