Thank you @Bluewavescrashing for the thread title.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

If anyone knows of any Teen Titans Go toys/figures, Starfire in particular, that aren’t ridiculously priced from the US or fakes from China, please let me know!

SandraOhshair · 20/10/2019 19:46

I'm another in the market for switch jo cons. They are sold at lots of retailers like Game but am struggling to find a way to get a discount. Any ideas much appreciated!

NerosFiddle · 20/10/2019 19:55

Anyone have any recommendations for a mixed case of wine? I'd like to have a few different types of wine in.

@PinkDaydreams not sure what your budget is, but my “default” for looking at items I know nothing about is John Lewis. Then I comparison shop and often find the same product elsewhere cheaper, but they usually have a good selection at every budget point of the most popular products. They’ve got Nikon binoculars staring at £50. I think ours were in the £120 range six years back. I think it’s a bit like a camera investment (except less likely to go obsolete) so I try to get most I can afford.

PowerslidePanda · 20/10/2019 20:06

Echo Dots are £34.99 at the moment, down from £49.99.

Also, Tesco now have the Cadbury and Oreo biscuit selection for £3 - previously £6.

Ruralretreating · 20/10/2019 20:11

boughtnotbrought it looks as though the cake stand has gone up to £7.95 annoyingly. Camel camel were showing it for £4.36 an hour ago but every time I click on link it’s £7.95. I would have snapped one up for DS2 at under £5

VividImagination · 20/10/2019 20:16

Ds3 wants a Nintendo Switch. I had hoped to stay under £100 but he is prepared to pay something towards it. Do you think any Black Friday deals are likely?

Jennywallpaper · 20/10/2019 20:20

Does anyone know when the TU sale starts and if it usually includes everything? Looking some bargain frozen pyjamas for DD. Thanks

CoffeeAndEnnui · 20/10/2019 20:21

Early member access for H&M pre-sale right now. Up to 70% off. There are some pretty cool gamer hoodies and tees (lenticular and sequin swipe) which would work well as Xmas pressies. Hoodies at £8 and tees at £5. Plus a fab grey marl bum bag printed (I'm sure the young folks don't call them that but I'm not young so it's remaining a bum bag) sweatshirt at £3 which looks like it cost much more.

Can't link here as you have to go in via invite email but just found mine in my junk folder so worth a look in your own if you're a member already.

CoffeeAndEnnui · 20/10/2019 20:22

As ever postage is free on a £20+ spend for members.

BrightonBB · 20/10/2019 20:33

M&S codes - are they regularly sent to Sparks customers? I’ve only just signed up for Sparks and finally looking to treat ourselves to new plates. Need them everyday so not going for Xmas design and no mad rush as existing plates are decades old.

hormonesorDHbeingadick · 20/10/2019 20:36

Jennywallpaper probably this week.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 20/10/2019 20:38

@Jennywallpaper someone on the last thread said it starts on Tuesday. Yes usually everything is included.

Luxplus · 20/10/2019 20:45

TU sale starts Tuesday

SQLCat · 20/10/2019 20:49

The beat deal for Nintendo Switches last year was twinned with a Very first order code (40£ off I think?).
Watch out for HDUK as deals appear there.
There are occasionally bundle deals on the Nintendo site.

SQLCat · 20/10/2019 20:54

Wish has fake joy cons with good reviews if you want to have a look.

CoffeeAndEnnui · 20/10/2019 21:07

Quite a niche one as pink and white, music-themed, and only available in a size 4 or 5 but these Rookie quad skates are a fantastic £17.50 at Sports Direct right now and potentially cheaper if you have a code or they come up with cashback anywhere. Internet is being too stubbornly slow to let me check on that.

Good tween gift.

wibdib · 20/10/2019 21:07

We ended up getting a switch from Smyths last year - they had good deals on but I think I got it in december rather than on a Black Friday deal. One of the reasons was that around Black Friday most of the deals they did were good but had adult games in whereas I wanted something suitable for a 13 yr old and a 10 yr old.

Another thing worth remembering if buying electrical stuff is that Curry’s have a good price promise (well they did, assuming it hasn’t changed in the last few months!). If you buy something from them and you find it cheaper locally - or their own prices go down - you can get the money back from them if you go in, for the difference. Not sure if you can return it as well (assuming unused, which an Xmas present would be). But closer to Black Friday, if you’re worried about things being out of stock, it’s a way to buy it just in advance then still get the good price. Check out their policy first though!

CoffeeAndEnnui · 20/10/2019 21:10

Aha! 7% cashback at Sports Direct. The page just loaded!

Bargainous skates are even more bargainous.

Jennywallpaper · 20/10/2019 21:14

Brilliant! Thank you all.
