Thank you @BadgerFace for the thread title.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Does anyone know anything about Transformers graphic novels? Ds wants some but they're about £15 each. If he gets through them as fast as he does the pokemon ones, that's going to be an expensive hobby.

By the way, saw this Pokemon set of books for £12 at The Works and 25% off a £10 spend with SAVE25. They have bigger ones too but I thought it might suit someone.

GreatBritishbakeofffan · 16/10/2019 11:27

Managed to get the paw patrol snow vehicle for £22.50 from £45, it was the last one in the shelf so very lucky.

recklessgran · 16/10/2019 11:38

@spababe here are some things I put in young men's stockings;
Bottle of Nandos sauce/mayo
Christmas scratchcard
Choc orange or toblerone
Hot chocolate spoon/marshmallows [Usually from Lidl or Aldi]
Alcohol miniature/bottle fruit cider plus savoury snack such as pork scratchings/nuts/pringles
Bottle opener - there are some nice personalised ones around
Costa gift card
Something for hobby - e.g Bootclaw for cleaning mud off football boots
Car air freshener/screen wipes
Travelcard holder
Coaster for their room - something a bit funky
Key ring/coin holder
Something retro from childhood - stretchy aliens etc
Water bottle/sweat bands - gym type stuff
Small fun table game
Something random from the pound shop - everyone gets a poundshop item and have fun guessing which thing it is. They are often surprised!

For ROI shoppers I got poster sets in Aldi today reduced to €1.45. Three posters that combine to make one big one, good for a stocking filler. They also had star wars

My offering for today... if you need to buy for people who like tv, games, literature, retro or music and like quirky/humourous art, I have always sworn by Qwertee for t shirts, hoodies and wall art. They have some limited edition designs, but also a shop and a loyalty scheme.

patm99 · 16/10/2019 12:05

Clutch, thanks for the Qwerty recommendation, there are a few things thatI know my DS and DD will like!

woodwaj · 16/10/2019 12:11

Bearbehind · 16/10/2019 12:15

Update on the M&S friends and family codes - apparently half the country got them last weekend and half will get them this weekend - no idea what the logic in that is? 😂

Hedgyhoggy · 16/10/2019 12:17

Would somebody mind telling me how the spicery deal works. Just thought of someone it would suit TIA

Beebeequeue · 16/10/2019 12:27

ClutchinMahPurrrls · 16/10/2019 12:28

patm99 no probs! I have a referral link on the referrals thread if you want to use it, but no expectation! Glad Qwertee caught your eye - they're great for what started as a little UK company.

ClutchinMahPurrrls · 16/10/2019 12:29

Hedgyhoggy what do you want to know? There are some more detailed posts on the referrals thread.

CoffeeAndEnnui · 16/10/2019 12:32

Missed out on the Emma Bridgewater winter animal Chilly's bottles at TK Maxx while waiting for an invoice to be settled (the curse of freelancing!) and now I have pennies again they have sold out. Has anyone seen the same bottles/offer in a TK Maxx store???

Our nearest one is a schlep, only want to risk it if there's hope...

MyIncapableOne · 16/10/2019 12:33

Sorry it’s already mentioned but Bomb cosmetics are reduced on Amazon

makingmiracles · 16/10/2019 12:43

That’s a good price. I never buy the original baileys brand, only the s+cream one, the original one I buy from Aldi, it’s called ballycastle I think, tastes the same if not better than baileys and is only £3.75 a bottle!

crustycrab · 16/10/2019 13:00

@Beebeequeue thanks. I've just "bought" a 3 session baby photoshoot spread over a year with a print at each one and a £50 discount voucher for the grand total of £0!

Can't complain at that. Select Evoucher and personalise message at the checkout and it's free to print at home

Beebeequeue · 16/10/2019 13:12

You’re welcome crusty. I thought that was excellent too, shame I have no babies in my life.

My posts will usually be free or v cheap cos I’m proper tight Grin

Haha, I'll keep an eye out for your posts!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 16/10/2019 13:17

@makingmiracles I prefer the Aldi version of strawberries and cream baileys as well. Have you tried it? It's not as sickly as the baileys version.

bluesky · 16/10/2019 13:20
