Thank you @WhereIsThisGoing for the thread title.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

I’msorry thanks for the penguins I have a penguin obsessed ds and I think combined with Camdens advent envelopes it’s the start of a fab advent calendar for him

Isadora2007 · 13/10/2019 01:38

jingle Bells-
let’s all sell
Bargain menstrual-wear
It saves you cash
Then you can dash
And spent it all elsewhere, hey!

Come and peek
Three threads each week
And be inspired to buy
Sloth pyjamas
Or bargain llamas
Or baby dolls that cry!

CheesyCheshireCat · 13/10/2019 07:21

Isadora that's amazing!

Barbarara · 13/10/2019 07:23

@Isadora2007 brilliant!

@whatwillicallmyself the Luas one take gifts for kids as well as adults. If you have toys that are bigger than shoebox size, the Vincent de Paul often have “giving trees” in shopping centres. Last year we did an art and craft basket for the children’s hospital because dd and ds enjoyed doing art when ds stayed there. Iirc dealz collect shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child but mumsnet has put me off that one a bit.

Irish shoppers: hickeys have a sale on at the moment. Some nice duvet sets and bedding. And a slightly obscure one but Mr Price have rolls of scotch tape for €1.50, you know the kind that tears easily so you don’t end up on Christmas Eve festively strangling yourself with sellotape maybe that’s just me It’s not with the stationery but hidden among the diy section. I got unreasonably excited because I can never find it anywhere.

NoWordForFluffy · 13/10/2019 07:29

Ooh. My tape dispenser came yesterday. Hefty! Well worth £5.49!

SandraOhshair · 13/10/2019 07:57

NoWordForFluffy

Yes in my mind, the tape dispenser will be my weapon of choice if I ever find myself in a zombie apocalypse/hunger games type situation.

NoWordForFluffy · 13/10/2019 08:04

Yeah. I considered its multi-purpose when I was opening it! 🧟‍♀️ 😂

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 13/10/2019 08:11

Can I join. I was on this thread last year but I'm late to it. We are currently waiting to move. Hopefully it will finally happen next week. So I haven't wanted to buy too many presents as it's just more stuff to move.

I'm going to be on the lookout for a playmobil and Lego Harry Potter advent calendar. Also if anyone sees the Decleor calendar reduced.

Went into Primark yesterday and loads of lovely Harry Potter items.

I want to get a whole heap of Christmas books for the children to have throughout December. I currently have them all in my basket at The Book People but I'm waiting for a decent discount code.

Ewock · 13/10/2019 08:16

Received my tape dispenser yesterday as well. Hefty is the right word! I've popped some tape in and can't wait to start wrapping. I'm hoping it makes me organised and no last minute wrapping of everything this year!

NoWordForFluffy · 13/10/2019 08:18

@BeauticianNotMagician81, Amazon had the HP one for under £20 this week. Not sure if it still is though.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 13/10/2019 08:18

https://www.amazon.co.uk/First-Letters-Christmas-2017/dp/0995642214/ref=mpsa11?keywords=the+first+letters+of+christmas&qid=1570950874&sprefix=the+first+letter&sr=8-1

This isn't exactly a bargain but a great idea. I've bought one each for ds3 and ds4. They write their letters to Father Christmas each each on a piece of tracing type paper and the hard copies are kept in the book.

weebarra · 13/10/2019 08:34

Book People have 10% off with CHEER10 but I'd probably wait for a bigger discount.

snowmanshoes · 13/10/2019 08:46

There’s some bargains to be had on the hollister website for hoodies/sweat tops. Great prices already and some have a further 20% off if you are/become a member.
I just bought two hoodies for dad for £29 and I got free delivery too!

Ps, we’ve found the cropped hoodies to be quite short so we size up. Normal hoodies they’re so no need!

snowmanshoes · 13/10/2019 08:46

Dd not dad! And should read normal hoodies are fine so need to size up

Youvegotafriendinme · 13/10/2019 08:48

@IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts I was thinking the exact same thing Grin

@Isadora2007 brilliant GrinGrin

Smileatthesmallthings · 13/10/2019 08:57

I know Boots isn't always the cheapest, but they have a fair selection of advent calendars in the 3 for 2 offer, so especially if you have a few to buy it could be worth a look.

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 13/10/2019 09:04

@Barbarara all hail Scotch Tape!!! Going to the US for work next week and may bring a suitcase of it back with me...

mummyof2boys30 · 13/10/2019 09:34

Thanks for adidas code. Got two pairs trainers for 32 including delivery

Jacopone · 13/10/2019 09:37

Thanks for hollister tip! Great offers👍

TwistedAnkle · 13/10/2019 09:39

When I put in my Adidas order with the code my payment wouldn't go through- a problem on the site at the time. Anyway as I was trying again I somehow clicked something on the site and a unidays code popped up! Used it instead of the code given upthread and I got an extra 30%off sale prices. Sadly I can't manage to do it again so could share with you but maybe one of you clever lot can work it out

NaraDeer · 13/10/2019 10:03

Thank you to everyone who made suggestions for a Christmas star/ornament, lots of great ideas.

Yumi has up to 70% off everything including some Christmas clothes for girls and woman, quite decent discounts on most things.

Jedstre · 13/10/2019 10:10

I have two M&S codes anyone still need one. Expires tomorrow

IHeartKingThistle · 13/10/2019 10:15

Outraged that Smyths don't do Cashback, student discount or have any discount codes available. I need something from there - am I actually going to have to pay full price? Outraged.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 13/10/2019 10:18

@Jedstre I'd love an M & S code if you have one please

Jedstre · 13/10/2019 10:25

@BeauticianNotMagician81pm’d code.
