I was actually in Cotswolds in real life at the weekend and they had some walking shoes and boots in the sale (which was delightful as I needed a pair and DS2 contrived to behave for five minutes because he was enchanted by the idea that my feet weren’t growing anymore).

Local brewery tour is a really good idea. I'll look into that thank you. It's probably safer than me trying to buy him gadgets. No doubt I would get it wrong!

I don't know what a smart plug is though so I'll investigate that.

Not on the high street have these Personalised Map christmas baubles for £9.50 free delivery. Something different for those hard to buy for people. They include a piece of map of a special place with a personalised tag.
