Thank you @Jammiebammie for the thread title.

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 05/10/2019 14:00

I've just bought the little wooden Xmas tree for DD to have in her room at Uni halls of residence.

SheStoodInTheStorm · 05/10/2019 14:07

I've bought two of those trees...not sure who the second one is for! Thanks for the link.

Courtney555 · 05/10/2019 14:11

Just bought a tree. No idea for where. I'm a sucker for cheap p&p Blush

tentative3 · 05/10/2019 14:12

@queenofelves what's the turtle doves code for 15%? I do not need a fourth pair but I want green ones!

tentative3 · 05/10/2019 14:26

Also just a heads up that the Hotel Chocolat sachets have a short expiry on them. I can't imagine they wouldn't last much longer than it says but just in case you're giving them for gifts and the recipient might be fussy.

IJustWantToWearDungarees · 05/10/2019 14:29

Thank you so much to everyone on this thread. I have lurked for the past few years and saved so much money! Whenever I have any offers sent through I'll post them here.

What was the Mentoes thing, pls? Have I missed it? DH loves a Mentoe.

Theimpossiblegirl · 05/10/2019 14:33

I have no idea why I just ordered an advent tree, but it seemed too good a deal to not take up.

UrghJustUrgh · 05/10/2019 14:59

Used SAVE15 here for 15% off deodorants and balms with naice essential oils in. They arrived today and I'm v happy. They smell divine! Free postage which helps!

Boots 20 points for a pound on spends more than £50

BigEaredBob · 05/10/2019 15:03

@cakegoblin we’ve had that advent calendar for about 5 years and it’s definitely been worth the money!

The kids get really excited about opening it each day and adding to the nativity. It means that I don’t have to pay for a different advent calendar every year (although I have sometimes still had a cheap chocolate one).

Still looks as good as new so would highly recommend!

BigmouseLittlehouse · 05/10/2019 15:24

@cakegoblin oh my I wish you hadn’t posted that advent nativity - it looks so lovely but so expensive Smile

NaraDeer · 05/10/2019 15:24

I’ve got a really odd request, I’ve Googled and tried Etsy and I’m at a loss.

I would love to buy a tree topper, angel or star, that is made with cremation ashes added to it.

DH died in May and DD(5) and I are feeling really sad at the thought of Christmas without him.
We’ve both got beautiful necklaces with his ashes in that help us feel close to him so I think a tree topper might just help us feel him there that little bit more.
Would be really grateful if anyone has any suggestions.

Serenity25 · 05/10/2019 15:25

To the pp looking for the sylvanian families items, I’ve found Jac in a box generally cheaper than anywhere else. They seem to have quite a good selection, so may have what you are looking for.

MrsLeclerc · 05/10/2019 15:31

@NaraDeer what a lovely idea, so sorry for your loss. I haven’t seen tree toppers but have seen some decorations. www.ashesmemorialjewellery.com/angel-tree-decoration/

An American site does urn decorations www.inthelighturns.com/memorial-ornament-keepsakes.html

I hope you find something that makes him feel that little bit closer over Christmas Flowers

Smileatthesmallthings · 05/10/2019 15:33

@queenofelves Thanks for the converse tip - just directed DP to my Christmas present!

Ewock · 05/10/2019 15:33

MorbidMuch do you have a link fir the cancer research duvet sets? I can't find them on the site. Thanks

LikeSilver · 05/10/2019 15:42

@BernardBlacksWineIceLolly Thank you! DS is desperate for that, I have his Christmas gifts but I’ve grabbed it for his birthday Smile

margaritasbythesea · 05/10/2019 15:46

Serenity25 - thanks. I shall try that site for sylvanian families

imsorryiasked · 05/10/2019 15:58

@NadaDeer this star shaped one comes in brass / silver / turquoise / white on either Amazon or Ebay. The stand looks like it's perfect for putting on top of a tree?
Alternatively, choose a decoration that you love and put some ashes inside it? You could easily glue a stainless steel pendant - available on Ebay - inside an angel's skirt (although that sounds vaguely wrong!)

imsorryiasked · 05/10/2019 15:59

Forgot the photos
