When do you start playing your christmas music

I love Christmas songs and I have been guilty of maybe listening to some in early November . I saw advertised on TV today the music channel STARZ will be starting their Christmas music 1st October ? I think this is maybe too early ? What do you think and how soon do start with the songs ?

I start after Thanksgiving. I love Christmas and Christmas music and if I start any earlier than that it just makes me sad that it's not actually Christmas.

I do get excited hearing it in the shops though.

Dec 1st here too - DH claims the week before Christmas but when he’s not here he doesn’t know we play them full fucking blast (he’s a curmudgeon)

1st of December, no earlier. Then I listen to Shakin Stevens on repeat because it's the best Christmas song and this is a hill I will die on.

I do my kettlebells in my living room to Carols from Kings all year round! But mainly because it's 5am and I've just got up, so if I listen to anything else it's too much for my poor brain.

@NerosFiddle what app do you have? The one on App Store is saying it's only played for 30 days over Xmas?...

Christmas starts on the day school breaks up for Christmas. We decorate the tree the next day.. somewhere around the 20th December. Music starts with the carol service for us.. then Christmas playlist while decorating ..

We do keep it up until 12th Night though.

It's all gone a bit arse about tit these days. Christmas Day is the FIRST day of Christmas and the celebrations, music, decorations and general fun were meant to last for nearly 2 weeks after.

These days people jump the gun. Peak too early put the tree up in November and it's all over by Boxing Day ..
