I know some of you boycott them, I don't so please don't get shitty, please.

Anyone get their email telling them when they can book their christmas slot? I got 6th october and that feels really late. Wondering if I am on a rubbish list.

I got 7th October - just checked my old emails and last year was 8th October and in 2017 it was the 26th Oct so I must have really been on a rubbish list then!

Hmm, I wonder how they allocate these slots? I’ve had a delivery pass with them for years and spend £80-£90 a week with them. Are you all spending £100’s?!

7th for me as well! I'm hoping that it's a regional thing and not because they think I'm common... Maybe they have a marker for people who immediately change search settings to 'low to high price' and we get the rubbish slots because we're cheapskates 😂

I got the 10th! But I've only used them about 8 times in twelve months so maybe there is a sorting method...

I got the 3rd, no idea how they would allocate it. I have been with them for 12 years I think. Will probably just fill my trolley up with champagne and edit nearer the time. I know they don’t like that though.

7th for mine. Been a smart pass member for several years now and use them at least once a week for a full shop.

I once questioned it and the dates are given randomly. For each date a certain number of slots become available.

So even if you have a later date you should have the same chance as getting a slot as if you had a date the day before.

3rd. I don’t tend to bother though, just add extra things in the run-up and get the latest normal slot, plus go real supermarket shopping for the Actual Christmas Shop. I would rather spend the delivery fee on a bottle of wine!

I always thought it was regional. Agree your chance should be the same whatever date - I have had dates all over October before and always plenty of slotsm

What are these slots??? Do you have to place your order and book a delivery at the start of October? On a day allocated to you?

It means you can choose your Christmas slot from a certain date, it's not allocated to you.

And it's like any online shop; you can amend it until a certain date. You don't have to choose your shop's content now and be bound by it forever!
