Dd is 9 and I find her easy I could buy her so much! Her main present will hopefully be strictly tour tickets, she's getting some converse hi tops too. I'll get her some clothes and have got her some stationery for her stocking. I'm going to get her a big thing of pick n mix, some books, a cd, some smellies and I think that'll do!

Sunshine196 · 14/09/2019 16:08

I'm hoping for strictly tickets for us too. I think they are released in a couple of weeks.

WreckTangled · 14/09/2019 16:10

Are they? I've signed up for email alerts but weren't sure when they came out. Do you know how much they are?

Sunshine196 · 14/09/2019 16:10

I find it hard as her birthday is in feb & we have quite a large family who want present ideas too so I often give my ideas away to them!

Sunshine196 · 14/09/2019 16:12

No I don't. Have you signed up for presale access? I got an email from ticketmaster last week about that so might be worth checking out. I hope they at least release the locations soon. I accidentally purchased tickets to the professional tour not realising the difference but fortunately there's a 24 hour cooling off period so got a full refund straight away.

WreckTangled · 14/09/2019 16:18

I have signed up yes. Just looked and last years went on sale on 21st sept £40-£50. London would be our closest

Sunshine196 · 14/09/2019 16:20

Ah okay about average prices. We need Manchester. I expect they will start promoting it on the show soon. Have you seen the strictly pjs that Asda are doing? They are quite cute. They are oos at the moment but they keep coming in. I managed to get some yesterday.

Thanks you Magaritasbythesea I was just catching up on the thread. Ordered so I won't miss it this time.

Reastie · 14/09/2019 16:33

That’s great loony. I got some chilly bottles half price a few months ago before they changed their design which softened the blow a bit!

Thanks for the tip about character.com I got my ds a nice ninjago dressing gown and pjs plus a couple of Star Wars tops and my dn some moana pjs. Saved another 10% by signing up for their mail list.

Trip to Wilko's for water bottles it is!

www.thecocktailman.co.uk/cocktail-subscriptions

The Cocktail Man has 50% off gift subscriptions at the moment - we had a subscription from there recently and were impressed. Nice mix of cocktails and well packaged - the latest set was Bake Off themed to tie in with the new series, and included ingredients and recipe for a Black Forest/Cherry Bakewell Martini. We only have one more month left on our subscription then may take out another one! (Waiting for a month so we don't duplicate the final one).

@Sunshine196 My daughter has had some of the Pipkins (I think?) bracelet kits around that age, seeing as your dd likes jewellery. They’re the friendship type so nice to make and give to friends too.

xTinkerhellx · 14/09/2019 18:32

If any of your DC are into football/Match Attax cards, you can Create your Own so your child is the player on the card. They also included a free gold limited edition Ronaldo card.

Costs £4.00 for 5 of the same card and £1.60 shipping. Does say it takes 28 days to deliver. But I know my daughter will adore this and Ronaldo is her favourite player so extra win!

Howmanysleepsnow · 14/09/2019 18:38

Does anyone know if you need a phone/ tablet for the boxer robot?

totallyLosingIt · 14/09/2019 18:42

Quite a few people talking about Chillys bottles and their cheaper alternatives - I bought a lovely one from Home Bargains and I see them in there all the time. It was so good, and cheap, that I started recommending them and now 8 family members have and love them! So worth a look if Home Bargains is more accessible for you than Wilko.

totallyLosingIt · 14/09/2019 18:45

NB on the above - they don't have patterned ones, or didn't last time I looked. We have a mix of purple, silver and a lovely teal colour. I can't recall what other colours they might have.

margaritasbythesea · 14/09/2019 18:48

Looking through Robert Dyas I found this Samsonite laptop backpack. The original price is inflated but it's on amazon for £35 ish. I got it for DH birthday. Remember code SEPT15 for 15%off

Stolenidentity · 14/09/2019 19:14

The Works have 25% off with code TAKE25. Free delivery over £20.

Someaddedsugar · 14/09/2019 19:33

@McAvennie try looking on Amazon - we got the wooden vegetables with chopping board £5 cheaper than the Bigjigs website.

Jammiebammie · 14/09/2019 19:33

@xTinkerhellx thanks for the match attax cards my nephews would love that! The website is a bit glitchy but I have a stupid question if that’s ok... what stats do I put in? I don’t know what the average is as I’ve never seen a normal card lol.

Someaddedsugar · 14/09/2019 19:37

@McAvennie it's also worth looking for Viga wooden food as they have a lovely range, and Asda currently also have a few nice pieces including a sushi set and a wooden toaster with jam/bread that's really cute.

xTinkerhellx · 14/09/2019 19:39

@Jammiebammie I just put 101 as every stay (it means they're the best Grin).

For value I put the day of her birthday.

The website is super glitchy. It had a whole design the back part where you couldn't actually change anything. But tbh, my kid will just love the fact her name and picture is on there.

Zillaindie · 14/09/2019 19:49

For anyone after a wooden toy workbench, studio have one priced for £19.99 however also have what appears to be the same one for £14.99
I have ordered it to see if it goes through and if it is worth it compared to others I have been looking at.

SomethingOfTheNight · 14/09/2019 19:52

I'm trying unsuccessfully to apply the Body Shop discount code for 20% off an order of two advent calendars as they are £45 each and I have twin girls but it's saying invalid; any ideas anyone?
