Can i just jump in and say the Tokyo Laundry stuff is gorgeous!! Perfect for tween DS. I cant remember who recommended it but is fab and incredibly bargainous!!

starlight36 · 13/09/2019 12:27

On the Fancy Dress stuff I'd definitely recommend the Tu costumes. A great price with the deals and my kids love them. They usually fine with great accessories and are well-made. My daughter preferred wearing their princess dresses to one of the very expensive Disney shop ones as she said they were more comfortable.

nickdrakeslovechild · 13/09/2019 12:33

I popped into my local smyths and an assistant confirmed the £10 off 50 and £20 off 100 will be on next week.

Tiredsahm84 · 13/09/2019 12:34

I've ordered the barbie ambulance from Asda

Can anyone shout if they see the nurse barbie on offer, it's £12 in most places

imsorryiasked · 13/09/2019 13:00

Robert Dyas have 15% off until Monday with code SEPT15.
Thought this night light was sweet. There are some other designs too
And they have the Plum metal swing down from £88 to £40.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 13/09/2019 13:05

jammie I believe it was this one I saw in Tesco had gone down to £7.50 (stealth suit goggles up if picture doesn't post) if you get stuck I can see if my local still has it and post :) and I have also got suckered in to the funko pops I have a few - Tokyo ghoul, and care bears... been eyeing up sparkly nightmare before Christmas and Chucky ones!

LadyNina00 · 13/09/2019 13:11

I was just going to post about Robert Dyas. With the 15% off code, there is a good price on an air dryer.

LadyNina00 · 13/09/2019 13:13

Air Fryer.....not air dryer

Jammiebammie · 13/09/2019 13:18

That’s so kind @nocutsnobuttsnococonuts thank you. We have a Tesco near by so I’ll get my eldest or dh to have a look first, I don’t have the goggles up one dd would love that!
It’s so easy to get addicted to these isn’t it lol, even dd2 collects the Harry Potter and stranger things ones. The NBC ones are cool, have you seen the pop towns they’ve got a new jack with house that’s awesome and really detailed.

Jammiebammie · 13/09/2019 13:20

Meant to add it’s worthwhile signing up to newsletters from groupon. I’ve just been sent an offer for a £10 primark card for £5. They also do Tesco regularly too. Usually invitation only but worthwhile signing up to see.
The odeon cinema tickets 5 for £20 is a fab saving too.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 13/09/2019 13:22

Non bargainous but having failed with numerous gingerbread houses over the years, I thought this kit for a chocolate house looks awesome. I reckon I could make it without the kit.

Wonka golden ticket book - definitely recommend, but don't bother going for the added scent. I bought the book 2 years ago via this thread I think? It's really good anyway, I didn't go for the scent and I was glad when I've seen all of the comments on Facebook posts, nobody seems glad they went for it

Dressing Up definitely have a look after Halloween, ebay will probably be a good bet in November with people trying to get a bit of money back from selling them.

Continued I'd also recommend charity shops for normal clothes to use, hats, costume jewellery, scarves etc if you ask a member of staff when they aren't busy I'm sure they'll help you come up with some ideas and find things you wouldn't have thought of. Try a few charity shops, ask member of staff in each and you'll soon have a great box

Continued Lastly, search eBay or amazon for photo booth or props, they will come up with various cheap and cheerful accessories like hats, glasses, blow up guitar, feather boa etc. Cheapest would probably be getting a bundle

princessbear80 · 13/09/2019 13:52

I nearly bought the odeon 5 for £20 card, but it can only be used until October I think so no good as a stocking filler for DSS.

BonnesVacances · 13/09/2019 14:31

Deliciously Ella with Friends is down to £4 on Amazon at the moment. I've bought this book for a few people who've all loved it, and only one was vegan.

Meat-free meals seem to be all the rage at the moment. Could be good for a food hamper or to bundle with Jamie's Veg.

MrsLem · 13/09/2019 14:32

Received the Santa sack today but the printing quality really isn't great Confused.

I'm looking for unbreakable tree decorations. I've got a toddler! Already have plastic and felt ones. Was thinking maybe foil?

NoWordForFluffy · 13/09/2019 14:39

We just get the shatterproof ones. Is that what you mean by plastic? Foil might not last. How about wood?

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 13/09/2019 15:11

Just got my Boden free gift (thanks for posting code)
Blimey, it’s ok for a freebie but you’d be gutted to spend £50 on it.

Dorsetcamping · 13/09/2019 15:18

Trying to find discounts on Chilly water bottles. They are sooo expensive!

Chocolateteabag · 13/09/2019 15:38

There are a few things on sale in the online RNLI shop - such as this Apron down to £5.
I've seen a lot of the things in the physical RNLI shop in Whitby and they are all pretty good quality and obviously they are a great cause to support. They have lots of (obviously) seaside related things
There is no specific sale section so you'd have to have a trawl through

another red apron

mini karaoke microphone??

Jammiebammie · 13/09/2019 16:15

@Dorsetcamping we’ve got a couple of chillys bottles and have never paid full price. ASOS have them and you often get 20% off, either through promotion or student discount. Last one I got was from Debenhams iirc when they had their discount codes. Chillys themselves often have codes too so sign up to their email list. Definitely worth holding out for though and not paying full price.

Barbarara · 13/09/2019 16:26

@MrsLem sorry to hear that. I feel bad because I posted the link. Mine from last year were lovely. Might be worth complaining and see if they would replace them?

Barbarara · 13/09/2019 16:29

Tybo tie die machine is in the aldi catalogue this week for €14.99 vs Smyths €21.99 and probably better value in UK. Obviously not very bargainous compared to a packet of rubber bands like we used in the 80’s but it does claim to be mess free Smile

DarkHumour · 13/09/2019 16:47

@winewolfhowls I’ve ordered this scooter It’s light, folds down and comes with a carry strap. It’s also possible to buy spare parts and there’s 12% off just now. The max rider weight is 100kg - I may have to test it out before Christmas Grin

Willow4987 · 13/09/2019 16:47

Tesco have a good selection of kids books on 2 for £7 at the moment

beccarooney · 13/09/2019 16:50

@Dorsetcamping Bought 2 Chilly's bottles last year full price for DC, but also bought 2 from Wilko for £5 each for husband and myself. We all use them every day and the Wilko ones are still going strong, never leak and keep water cool as the Chilly ones. Search 'double wall bottle' on the Wilko website - a dozen or so colours/designs to choose from.
