Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

@Luxplus Thank you, that sounds good. We have the plan toys bee set and the quality is excellent.

Personalised Bag for free, just pay postage of £6.95

Code is BAG30 and you enter it at checkout. Go to checkout then click 'show order details' at the top and it shows what's in your basket and has the box for the code to go in

My 6 year old is asking almost daily for a switch for Xmas. But I'm not sure he'll be able to use it as anyone else got a similar age child who can use one confidently. He's not really played many other consoles and mainly watches YouTube on his tablet. He wants the Pokemon game is this easy enough? Also I don't know whether to get the full version or lite any tips appreciated

TellMeItsNotTrue · 06/09/2019 12:04

Oh and I came across this yesterday

Drawstring bags in 4 different designs, price is between 91p and £1.14 with free delivery on all

If ordering more than one you may need to place seperate orders as they sometimes add delivery if you add more than one to basket

I resisted the Spode deal I posted Wednesday, but today I got an email with an additional 10% off with code WEEKENDER10, and I think my resolve is crumbling! 😬

The deal was the Christmas Tree 12 piece sets down from £204 to £70, plus 4 free soup bowls. There is another 12 piece set available with mugs - same deal with free soup bowls

Who am I kidding...I'm buying one of each 😳

(Sorry about the double posting...slow connection I guess!)

I8toys · 06/09/2019 12:11

Thanks for the nip and fab code. My first Christmas shop!

Sunshine196 · 06/09/2019 12:15

Those strictly pjs look amazing! Sold out though when I looked x

xSharonNeedlesx · 06/09/2019 12:24

@whereareyousleep dd is 6 and can play on our switch without assistance for some games (mainly Mario kart and paw patrol) she also helps dh on some of his Mario games or Mario party. I have keys go Pikachu and she could probably do that with assistance I would have thought but I’ve never let her have a go on it yet!

xSharonNeedlesx · 06/09/2019 12:24

Keys go? I meant Let’s go.

MrsLem · 06/09/2019 12:38

Just been to Costco. Its so busy but they've got some Christmas stuff in. AirPods £168 including vat.

wornoutboots · 06/09/2019 12:38

@whereareyousleep we got one a couple of months ago. My 6 year old is perfectly capable and wuld play on it all day if I let him (I won't!). However I do not let the kids take it off it's base and use it as a hand-held, as I hear they break easily

Can't comment on the pokemon game as we don't have it though.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 06/09/2019 12:48

pinkjam we have similar heads that isadora linked to at the nursery i work in. the 2-4 year olds love playing hairdressers with them :)

whereareyousleep dd 7 is able to confidently use dh switch. she plays mariokart, super smash bros and legend of Zelda with him. but she has had a Nintendo 2ds since she was 4. there's Pokemon games available on there too if you were looking for a cheaper option and to see if he gets on with using a games console. for the switch it depends whether you want to use on the t.v. as a family or just for him as a handheld. the new one is handheld only.

Reastie · 06/09/2019 12:50

Dogmatix thanks for that, have ordered. Dd will love it.

Ah, I've found my people again! Grin

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but Amazon have got these fitness trackers down to £8.49 from £15.99 atm (black, blue, pink and purple at that price). For anyone like me who cannot stretch to a Fitbit or a smart watch, it might make a nice stocking filler/small under the tree present. The reviews for these are great – monitors steps, calories burned, sleep, etc. It’s got a touchscreen, is water resistant and has a Bluetooth pedometer. Seems to do most of what the more expensive models do for a fraction of the price. Snapped up one for me and one for DD.

CosmicVagina · 06/09/2019 13:07

WEEKENDER10 for the Spode isn't working for me Shock

tentative3 · 06/09/2019 13:19

Thanks for the feedback on the Avoca sale. I'd emailed them earlier in the year and they said they had no plans for a factory sale this year, which is fair enough, I guess they don't want to release the date too early or maybe hadn't decided but we were going to have a holiday to Ireland and incorporate it. Because they said it wasn't happening we're going elsewhere. I agree that it probably is madness to make a trip over from the UK for it but I'm gutted, I love the few bits I've had from them in the past.

HoneyDragon · 06/09/2019 13:27

I’ve taken a punt on TellMe’s backpack offer as that’s ideal a bag for little ones to have their spare clothes etc in at nursery.

Be aware it quoted a lead time of 6-8 weeks for delivery so it’s definitely one to put away for Christmas Grin

Fubbs · 06/09/2019 13:34

@MaryDollNesbitt - thanks for that, ordered two for DS's! The watches have been grouped in with my pre-order of the new Jack Monroe book so I mightn't see them before Christmas so will keep them for Little Christmas instead if Amazon really won't post the rest of my order before then Hmm.

MissRainbowBrite · 06/09/2019 13:50

@CosmicVagina it's WEEKEND10 for the Spode set, I've had the same email. I tried not to look as I'm far to tempted by the Christmas set.

Jammiebammie · 06/09/2019 14:01

@MrsLem is that the wireless airpods at Costco please? I’ll get my dad to take a trip if they are as I need 2 pairs.

PinkJam · 06/09/2019 14:04

@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts Thank you, perhaps it would be ok then. I thought they would be more for older kids so will take another look. Thank you everyone.

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 06/09/2019 14:40

Sorry for the wrong code @CosmicVagina, and thanks @MissRainbowBrite for the correction! (Rainbow Brite and vagina are two things I never thought I'd say in the same sentence 😂)

SparklingXmas · 06/09/2019 14:47

Has anyone had the personalised sacks yet? They were a fiver each- I’ve not heard anything. 😕
