PinkJam - My dd never got on with the styling heads but has loved the hair on the Designafriend dolls for years. They don't have a cheap one with the superlong hair at the moment, although they do come up but it might be a bit much for someone as wee as your dd is atm anyway.

@rarejuicegoose we have a play kitchen bought from Asda last year. It’s beautiful and very good quality. Was under £40 and had an offer when we bought it. It’s wooden, beautiful and very sturdy. My two boys play with it and so does anyone else who comes to play. It’s quite compact but has some lovely details. We also bought some wooden food and pans from Asda/Melissa and George. It really was a good buy!

Have just got some magnetic blocks for around £13. The offer is on the listing at the moment x

For play kitchens definitely the Ikea one if you can get it. Ours is 6 years old now and being used by DC2, still looks good as new.

Pinkjam, I've bought a couple of styling heads for DD over the years and none have been any good. Like another poster said she has ended up practicing hair on the our generation or design a friend dolls and it's much better.

Last year asda also had the huge barbie dolls, I think the 3ft ones ? And that was great too for practicing hairstyles.

Sainsbury's have reduced all the back to school stuff. some really nice notebooks/stationary.

plus all the lunchbox and drinks bottles. I got the lol one my dd wanted for £2.50 and the sectioned Harry potter box for £4 :)

We bought this shark pj set from Matalan last year which comes with a fleece shark tail - I sized up because we find them quite snug but they'll still fit this year so I'd suggest doing that. The tail is lovely and soft, survived lots of washing and long enough to last until about 10 I reckon.

Would also recommend the ASDA toy kitchen. I have a very not gentle little boy and it's stood up to the pasting it gets so far.

I'm joining way earlier than previous years in the hope of avoiding last minute panic.
I need to buy for DH birthday in December and his xmas.
DS 6th birthday (early Jan) and xmas
DD 4th birthday (early Jan) and xmas.
DD wants a scooter and a bike so thats main presents for xmas and birthday sorted, just need to work out stocking and smaller bits, plus ideas for family members.

Can anyone remember the crazy woollen jumper offer from I think two years ago? I need one of those this year as DH sweaters are going holey.

My contribution is that turtledoves gloves have an offer for £16 gloves [ten pounds off] if you sign up to mailing list. I think this offer allows you to choose colour whereas previously was a lucky dip.
