What presents did you get the best reactions to this Christmas? My 3 year old boy loved a wooden castle with knights and dragons figurines. Think he would actually have been happy with just that although tree blocks and his own set of measuring scales went down very well too. How old are your children and what did they love the most? Already after ideas for future years 🙈

DD’s age 3 and 5 both loved baby Annabelle haven’t really touched anything else well done Santa!

Vicious2018 · 28/12/2018 07:07

Lego Star Wars sets for ds8. Santa got him several small sets instead of one big one so that he would get more mini figures and can play battles.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 28/12/2018 07:13

DD age 8 loved her second hand Ugg boots (she wears them as slippers), Sylvanian tram, Smiggle lunchbox.

Abelard40 · 28/12/2018 19:39

Ds1 (16) chef knives and a peeler (but he is an apprentice chef)
Ds2 (12) gravitrax and a wolf blanket and Wolf hoodie
Ds3 (10) Harry Potter mini wands, HP cookbook and HP scrabble.
Most of Ds2 and 3s favourites were from the bargain threads and I wouldn't have even known they existed so massive thanks to other people!

On that theme my dmum was telling me about this great ordanance survey puzzle book she was given. Yes mum that was from me also from the bargain thread Grin

9yo dd2 was thrilled with the giant unicorn from Asda. It was the one thing she had her heart set on for forever & her reaction was priceless! It's followed her all round the house, every time she's moved, since she opened it hopefully it won't be following her into the bath!

Almost 12yo dd1 has been permanently glued to her phone, only surfacing to eat or shower really, so I would say that's probably the biggest hit with her.

lucysmam · 28/12/2018 20:50

@Tiggles any chance of a link for the wands?

bagginses · 28/12/2018 21:41

my 8yo DD loves her sonic screwdriver

my 11yo DD loves her fluffy onesie Smile

Flapjackninja · 28/12/2018 21:49

Got DD15 an Amazon Echo and were all quite enjoying it. Asking it random questions etc... Only problem is DD logs in when not at home and randomly tells it to play baby shark Grin scares the shit out of me (not the song, just the suprise of it)

BettyOBarley · 28/12/2018 22:24

DD5 loves her Barbie House (which was an amazing second hand bargain for £20), Barbie car, Furreal Bear, Myla the unicorn, personal cd player + headphones for her audio books and dream tent.

DS2 loves his pretend steering wheel, Mr Tumble car and fake smart phone.

NeverTwerkNaked · 28/12/2018 22:33

My Dd has the biggest smile on her face when I have her Terry the Turtle and when her dad made a surprise visit to see us!

ImNotAFlower · 28/12/2018 22:47

@toomanygreys word to the wise... make sure you always have replacement batteries for the pug, we have a Labrador one, I went flying up the stairs one day because my DD was wailing like she had hurt herself when I got there she sobbed "it's dead mummy it's dead he stopped breathing " she was 6 HmmGrin

Tiggles · 29/12/2018 02:12

@lucysmam I bought them from eBay. I paid £10. They are now £50!!
these

ihearttc · 29/12/2018 12:06

DS2 loves his Segway/Hoverbaord. I was worried that he wouldn't be able to do it so bought the Kart attachment as well but he has literally spent every waking moment on it since he opened it much to the dismay of my skirting boards.

Surprise hit for DS1 was his echo dot. I only bought it cause it was half price and I got DS2 one but he loves it!

SingaporeSlinky · 29/12/2018 18:17

Hits were Guess Who game, mermaid tail blankets, microwave hotties animals, Barbie horse, Enchantimals, bananagrams game.
Squishies were a massive hit but already broken by Boxing Day! Biggest waste of money.

BearSoFair · 30/12/2018 15:33

DS1 16 - Bat Signal projection light. Silly thing but he loves it! Water repellent hoodie, he thinks I won't nag him to wear a jacket so much now Grin
DD 11 - Good quality markers and brush pens, Harry Potter necklace
DS2 9 - Hydraulic robot arm, Let's Go Pikachu, Ivan Rakitic football shirt

Gooseysgirl · 30/12/2018 17:48

DS age 5: Treasure X excavation kits, absolutely adores them. Another big hit was the Grossery Dinosaur and the little Grossery characters to go with it.
DD almost 7: Lego 3 in 1 camper-van (got half price thanks to bargain threads!), Vtech secret diary, Scruff-a-luff.

kshaw · 30/12/2018 18:15

My 21month dd got her first doll and pram and has carried it around constantly! Too cute. She also loved her wooden toolbox

AdoraBell · 30/12/2018 20:17

Teen DDs, other than the things they asked for I bought then some Chanel make-up on nail varnish. Those were very successful.
