Thank you for all the congrats and messages on the last thread. I didn’t reply to all of them as I thought it might be dull reading for everyone but I really appreciate the advice, understanding and general congratulatory comments. Bad news is I’m still stuck on the sofa feeling sick, but at least it won’t last forever (thank goodness!).

Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

I agree Reastie, online sales have seemed disappointing so far. 😕

Methenyouplus4 · 26/12/2018 21:35

Is the round year bargain thread on here? I followed this year from about September I think but didn't realise they started earlier.

NoWordForFluffy · 26/12/2018 21:51

It's not usually year-round. They usually start in early summer with the prequel then kick off properly in late summer with Reastie.

woodwaj · 26/12/2018 22:40

Oooh my bad. Well I vote chips starts really early Wink

sideorderofchips · 26/12/2018 23:45

I could be persuaded

Alanamackree · 27/12/2018 06:18

Can anyone recommend a garland? I’m looking for some nice thick garlands for the windows and an “interesting” one for the stairs. I haven’t seen anything great in real life shopping and a bit wary of ordering one online and it turning out to be a bit cheap or thin looking.

Reastie · 27/12/2018 07:28

Usually sales stuff goes on here until it’s used up, is there another one already then?

Neom organic has 40 pc off well-being candles xmas candles , body oils and diffusers

SweetPeaPods · 27/12/2018 08:22

Sales are really disappointing so far. Wanted a few things for the dc, MiL Jan birthday and for the house but nothing looks either a bargain or what I want.

PinkDaydreams · 27/12/2018 09:02

I’m after toy storage reduced! Can’t seem to find anything though as yet

linetta1 · 27/12/2018 09:09

Aldi had some hatchimals instore, around £23

Reastie · 27/12/2018 09:17

Heard rumours about Debenhams. If you got a gift voucher for there I’d use it soon....

I haven’t bought anything in the sales yet. Was waiting for Lush sale but it is only in store (and people went crazy yesterday and they have probably sold out), only wanted snow fairy. Next sale was disapointing.

We are off real shopping tomorrow with the dd’s Christmas money and will be heading to smyths toy store as dd wants Pokemon cards (rarely in the sale). Are there any good sales on in real shops?

Dolceandgabbana14 · 27/12/2018 10:06

Off to real life shops with DC today. I need to return some bits to Debenhams. DC looking forward to a trip on the bus and a cake in Johnson Lewis (thanks to their hot drink and a cake voucher) Smile

Where would be good to try for bargain cards and wrapping paper for next year? Also looking for essential oils for my new diffuser - has anyone seen any Tisserand or Neal's Yard bargains?

PinkDaydreams · 27/12/2018 10:13

I bought bargain wrapping paper and cards when whsmith had a sale on early September and also £5 off a £25 spend. They had Christmas lights massively reduced too which I bought.

imsorryiasked · 27/12/2018 11:09

Whsmith have got half price wrapping paper BUT it's no longer on 3 for 2 so not much of a bargain.
I bought lots in the card factory which seemed good value - they had single rolls, triple packs, and extra wide.
Haven't been able to find nice traditional cards anywhere but managed to get a few online via the charity shops, esp Save the Children so at least they'll benefit from the money.

IceLemonGin · 27/12/2018 13:02

Anyone seen any bargain prelit Christmas trees? Ours looks so tatty now, I can't stand the thought of putting it in the loft for next year!

NoWordForFluffy · 27/12/2018 13:09

Try here @IceLemonGin.

Saw someone bear me to it but wrapping paper in Sainsburys is 50p, tags 20p and cards cheap. Choc coins 40p and selection boxes £1, good if like me you celebrate Reyes (epiphany).

No gifts really reduced which was shame as hoping for the cycling stuff for BIL birthday.

eitak22 · 27/12/2018 14:28

@IceLemonGin Sainsburys had trees half price too.

Graffitiqueen · 27/12/2018 14:38

I’m also looking for reduced garlands for my stairs.

MathematicsTutor · 27/12/2018 18:12

Thanks @linetta1, I will look in Aldi. When did you last see them?

linetta1 · 27/12/2018 18:24
