Thread 12 - where we hope Black Friday doesn't turn out to just be slightly grey

@Reastie is obviously busy getting her sprouts on, so I've set up a new thread just to keep us moving.

Previous thread here with Reastie's usual helpful posts.

Remember everyone, it's only a bargain if you need it and check it hasn't been cheaper before/isn't cheaper somewhere else! Happy Thanksgiving Xmas Wink

Sorry to be a pain, I’m sure I’ve seen a north face discount on here somewhere but I can’t find it?
Please help! I’m looking for north face code and a jd code. I have got a student card but they only accept unidays online which I can’t get.
Thanks all! Flowers

Hearst Magazines have lots of mags at 5 for £5 and half price beauty boxes too
hearstmagazines.co.uk

TheGirlWhoLived · 22/11/2018 11:45

They have their pick and mix styling wands for 5 for £50 and then £10 points with £60 spend online

steppemum · 22/11/2018 11:53

good morning,
so, unlike you lot, I have JUST started Christmas shopping, and I have one with Dec birthday, and we do Dutch SinterKlaas on dec5th, so running a little tight to schedule!

Ds needs a hairdryer. Don't want to spend too much on it, but need it to be a decent heat.
Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations?
I actually also need a new one as mine over heats, so I could just buy 2 same.
and dd would like curling tongs. Which I know nothing about

Lovemusic33 · 22/11/2018 12:06

I am avoiding Aldi carrots, dd wants the big one bit I refuse to buy it, she’s 15 🤣

Went real life shopping this morning.

Lots of nice things in tkmax, they have a lot of sylvanian families and playmobil in, lots of nice food items and lovely wrapping paper.

Newlook have a Black Friday sale which is rubbish (not worth looking at).

Lots of good stocking fillers in Poundland.

No huge bargains, not sure if tomorrow will me that amazing as most places have started Black Friday already.

TittyBoneGhoul · 22/11/2018 12:08

My local Aldi was fine at 9:30am . Lots and lots of carrots in a small store, lots of big ones too , which are more massive than I thought!! The shop had peoplein, but wasn’t busy. But every checkout belt was a sea of orange! The checkout guy said last year after lunch it was all sold out and people were arguing and complaining 😱

Maranello · 22/11/2018 12:09

@Elphaba17 I owe you a thank you! The Doctor Who t-shirt you suggested in the last thread has arrived and it's spot on (it's the Brand 88 kids one on Amazon should anyone else be looking).

Gardenworm · 22/11/2018 12:10

Ravensburger Make n Break game is £12.49 on Amazon (was less yesterday but missed out, grrr the downside to checking your bargains on camel 🐪🐪). It's got some gold award. Looks like a relatively pain free/possibly even enjoyable game to play with kids Grin

loveliesbleeding1 · 22/11/2018 12:10

Omg 😲 don’t come on for one morning and we have 3 pages of a new thread🎄🎄

Twitchintervention · 22/11/2018 12:12

I’m sitting on my hands trying to not order the Enchantimal deer house for my DD which has been helped massively by just finding out it was reduced down to £21 in the last few days...

Has anyone see it elsewhere cheaper than £29 or think it might drop on Amazon again?

I have gone from, aw that’s quite a nice to toy I literally neeeeed it all in one morning!! Grin

TheOnlyPink · 22/11/2018 12:15

Anyone looking for an M&S 20%, use YESPLEASE

Valid from today until Monday 26th

Alanamackree · 22/11/2018 12:16

Ethical Silk Company have 25% off some products. Not particularly cheap but very nice quality and they live up their name.

SixToEightInchesOfSnow · 22/11/2018 12:18

We got our Carrot family this morning. There was only one giant Kevin left but I’d already said no to that! I popped back in for my lunch and they’d sold out of Kevins and Katies but had lots of the kids and Pascals ( maybe because they’re only 2 per customer?). To the PP who asked, the wrapping paper is £1.99 and very nice. It has a little glitter but not living room ruining amounts... the book is lovely too and there were plenty left at lunchtime and there are mugs too but we definitely don’t need another mug!

TheOnlyPink · 22/11/2018 12:19

Went real life shopping this morning, Debenhams have 20% off most things and they have lovely foodie gift sets. They are also doing personalised Mr Men and Little Miss gifts which look lovely but were eye wateringly expensive.

Smiggle have 30% off some stands of tat, and 25% off everything else in the shop. I think that includes the already reduced advent calendar, but not 100% on that.

If you're in Ireland, Easons have 30% off everything online with no min spend, but they have no good deals at all in store, which is a pity.

I'm starting to feel really guilty doing so much of my shopping online but the prices are so much better.

thaegumathteth · 22/11/2018 12:20

@maranello

I got a dispatch email from WB today. I got an’revised’ delivery date of next Tuesday from amazon so I’m hedging my bets just now and cancelling neither.

sunshineNdaisies · 22/11/2018 12:34

pretty pissed off that the molton brown 25% off came AFTER I'd bought the xmas pressie

sunshineNdaisies · 22/11/2018 12:37

also looking for a cheapy tween friendly kindle?

fourquenelles · 22/11/2018 12:38

On their website Calvin Klien pulling pants (aka boxers) reduced from £26 to £20 with free P&P. Other reductions on the site too. Good for the men in your life.

iggi999 · 22/11/2018 12:40

@makingmiracles hmm, that would have been good, I'm already marked as dispatched (should come tomorrow). I'm not really worried about the plug though and I would be worried about getting the tesco deal on time (if it's in store) - I think I'd be better just not looking at any xbox deals tomorrow!

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 22/11/2018 12:44

@BeauticianNotMagician81 that's what I thought 😩 Will hold out on the Next order until tomorrow, just in case.

My DH has a Tile and uses it quite regularly I think - always losing things!
