Thread 12 - where we hope Black Friday doesn't turn out to just be slightly grey

@Reastie is obviously busy getting her sprouts on, so I've set up a new thread just to keep us moving.

Previous thread here with Reastie's usual helpful posts.

Remember everyone, it's only a bargain if you need it and check it hasn't been cheaper before/isn't cheaper somewhere else! Happy Thanksgiving Xmas Wink

Thorntons have a £10 free greasy chocolate box with FREEWYS35

CaseStudyResearch · 23/11/2018 10:32

@butterflymum I’ve had a look on the questions & reviews - it looks like it is the exact same kit, so the shipping to send the sample to the labs is all included.

From what I’ve gathered on the ancestry site, their additional shipping is £10, so it is a bit of a saving!

NoWordForFluffy · 23/11/2018 10:43

About when they send the first issue, Monkey. Though if it's months away it's about a month after ordering.

Rosie2000 · 23/11/2018 10:44

Wellfuckmeinbothears · 23/11/2018 10:45

@Who greasy chocolates?!

Wellfuckmeinbothears · 23/11/2018 10:47

Anyone know the best price for Jack Daniels?

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 23/11/2018 10:50

Chillys bottles are on Amazon upcoming Friday deals in 30 minutes

MonkeyfaceThereturn · 23/11/2018 10:53

Jack Daniels via topcashback at Asda. 1L bottle is £15, then you get £5 cashback. So £10 for 1L.

RemyRelax · 23/11/2018 10:53

Just be careful ordering the Chilly’s Bottles on Amazon because some reviews state that they aren’t genuine.

Beingginger · 23/11/2018 10:53

C685587B5D AO code if anyone wants one

IHeartKingThistle · 23/11/2018 10:54

I've just spent a very happy hour in LIDL - rushed in expecting hordes and there were about 5 people in there pottering around! So no problem getting DD's Nutribullet. It's 39.99 and it's only the starter kit but I'm much happier paying that than 53.99 on Amazon (£1 reduction for Black Friday, Amazon, really?!).

Also grabbed the last set of bongos for DN (DSis is going to kill me!) and one of those little ham legs with a stand. They have 3 different sizes this year - 1kg, 2.5 and 6kg but I stuck with the 1kg as even with hosting Christmas last year we didn't finish it! It was lovely though! They cost £14.99, £24.99 and £39.99. Not bargainous but thought I'd pass on the info!

The slimline hoovers seemed to be the things that have flown off the shelves. I do hope we're not all getting hoovers for Christmas!

butterflymum · 23/11/2018 10:56

@CaseStudyResearch ... it certainly is. Good find!

PinkPanther27 · 23/11/2018 11:02

Lol Bigger Surprise aka biggest rip off ever but also no. 1 on my daughter's Christmas list, is £65 on Amazon.

@Wellfuckmeinbothears Gentleman Jack is £18.60 down from £35 on Amazon. DH likes it even more than regular JD

necromumda · 23/11/2018 11:16

@22giraffes its back on at £5.96 , which is naughty as the lightning deal said the original was around £9.
I guess they must have sold all the lightning deal ones.

buckeejit · 23/11/2018 11:21

Thanks - got the joules wellies & also an instant pot for dm (who will be cross at the extravagance but also want to play with it!)

Audiobook fans - 300 books at £2.50 each today. If there's enough you like, wort( joining up for the monthly deal (1st month free anyway), and buy what you want then stop it. Some good titles on there. You would have to do jiggery pokery to make it a gift though, (pass on your login details to app for recipient I think)

totallyLosingIt · 23/11/2018 11:26

Thank you @DeezMutts, got a couple of bargains on there including some nice gloves for me someone. Gutted that in the time it took me to scroll through a couple of bits in my basket went OOS though so be quick with your decision making and purchasing!

NotReve · 23/11/2018 11:27

This thread is brilliant, with the Good Housekeeping subscription and some Jouels wellies I’m finished for DM Smile I usually can’t afford to get her nice things like that but she deserves it so I’m chuffed. Thanks everyone!

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 23/11/2018 11:29

@wornoutboots I'm not sure you could find one for £5 but I got ds a cool converse backpack from TK Maxx. It was about £15 but other places may be less...

PinkDaydreams · 23/11/2018 11:31

I can’t seem to find the chilly bottles on amazon?

Maranello · 23/11/2018 11:38

@22Giraffes the Horrible Histories Christmas book is £3 at the Works:

It seems to be the chilly thermos rather than the bottles
