Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

HoneyDragon · 13/11/2018 20:02

imsorry we bought two a couple of years ago and the best deal was via very when they were doing cash back. Had to wait a month for it to be applied but saved us over £200.00.

Mynameisnotthis · 13/11/2018 20:08

Delurking to recommend busyb to @TimeForMy10thCuppa.

I have this one:
busyb.co.uk/products/diaries/to-do-diary-2019-pretty.html

It is smaller than you asked as it’s a5 however I think it ticks all the other boxes!

I've dropped off the threads a bit, but I promised @Reastiepeace an update on my photobook...

So I realised I needed waaaaaay more than 100 pages and ended up going with www.blurb.co.uk as my crappy internet connection made online editing software a bit of a nightmare. The blurb software, BookWright, is pretty easy to use once you've got your templates set up (they have standard templates, but I didn't like them). It's completely off-line so very quick and easy to add/change photos. HOWEVER, it did take me 3.5 hours to upload the final book, plus another 2 hours for a failed upload when my laptop went into sleep mode (TIP: turn off sleep mode before starting upload...) To be fair, my finished book was 471.45MB

It's definitely not the cheap option. I paid £43.43 plus £7.99 shipping for a 272-page hard back book with standard photo paper. That was with a 40% discount code. However, it's still less than I'd usually spend on my parents, and the off-line editing saved me hours, so I'm happy. I used BESTGIFT4T to get 40% off, but this ends tomorrow. However, they tend to have a 35% or 40% discount code floating around most of the time.

Just got to crack on and make another one for my PIL now!

SockEatingMonster · 13/11/2018 20:19

I should have clarified that the £43.43 was AFTER the 40% discount.

Asj0405 · 13/11/2018 20:20

@margaritabythesea I don't know about Morrison's but I think Tesco' s have their buy 6 bottles get 25% off within the next week or so

WoahBodyforrrm · 13/11/2018 20:21

I’ve been asked to get a GLTC cash register for my Goddaughter. However the P&P is £5.75, does anyone know if they do free delivery from time to time? The till is reduced from £27 to £22, so it will cost almost £30 with delivery.

buckeejit · 13/11/2018 20:22

Also, any bargains for tennis mad 40 year old man would be appreciated!

starrynight19 · 13/11/2018 20:30

IceLemonGin · 13/11/2018 20:35

Does anyone know or roughly remember how much the Amazon Echo Dots will be/were on Black Friday? Think it would be a good gift for my tricky to buy for teen DB!

starlight36 · 13/11/2018 20:37

The Birthday Lottie doll is currently in an Amazon Lightning Deal for £9.50. I've been stalking them for a while and had only seen the Brownie one reduced before. Apologies if just Prime - we have Prime but I can't see it saying anywhere it is only Prime.

imsorryiasked · 13/11/2018 20:42

@HoneyDragon thank you, wouldn't have thought of Very

Bangwhistlepop2 · 13/11/2018 20:43

Morrison's 25% off wine for black Friday starts tomorrow.

NoWordForFluffy · 13/11/2018 20:46

Did you get your gnomes, @HoneyDragon?!

Roystonv · 13/11/2018 20:47

I've just got a good mixed case of wine offer from Laithwaites

HoneyDragon · 13/11/2018 20:51

Dh is going to pick one up when he goes that way. I couldn’t decide on a suitable Girlfriend for Mr Elf Gnome Blush

Laska3Meryl · 13/11/2018 20:59

I'd still love a Lakeland code if anyone has one going.. Thanksxx

HereBeFuckery · 13/11/2018 21:01

Just a warning - I have stopped using TopCashBack as they are robbing bastards they incorrectly declined one transaction, then paid another wrong so took the Cashback back (leaving me in negative credit), and I am still waiting on a third transaction TWELVE MONTHS after it should have paid out.
Their customer care bit are rude and unhelpful and couldn't give less of a shiny shit if they were sparkly shitting unicorn toys.

NotPennysBoat · 13/11/2018 21:03

I added two boxes of G&B to my Tesco online order last night. Delivery was this morning.... NONE delivered and not even a substitution! 😡

Drummingisfun · 13/11/2018 21:06

Has anyone got any of the furreal toys and can tell me if they are good?
My DD spotted the dog in the argos catalogue but they aren't cheap!!

RaggieDolls · 13/11/2018 21:16

Just bought 4 G&B for £5.50 from Amazon here.

Thanks for the link.

bogiesaremyonlyfriend · 13/11/2018 21:16

6 editions of "first news" free trial one of those where you have to sign up but cancel before they take payment after 6 copies. It is a weekly news paper for kids aged 8-13. Dds teacher recommended it at parents evening tonight and when I went on to look there was a free trial. Might be good for a stocking filler or 2. Or just something to keep little ones busy while I decorate the tree and drink mulled wine...

Unihorn · 13/11/2018 21:31

Update on my G&B chocolate plight - my husband has just got home from work and came via Tesco where he picked up two boxes Star
